Taco bar hire in West End, from our food truck or trailer

A taco bar suits mixed diets well, because every filling and topping sits in its own dish. We plan gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan choices, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests, plus allergen information for every dish. On the menu are burrito bowls, guacamole and pickled onions and toppings, and it is a good fit for anniversary parties and leaving dos.

For a rural spot like West End, a taco bar beside the truck in a field or garden is a simple set-up. Tell us about gates, ground and the distance from the lane, and we confirm power and water arrangements before the day. Every guest is catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free included, with allergen information for everything we serve.

Questions to ask before booking

What taco bar hire costs

We will give you a clear quote. What affects it most:

  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • How long we are needed on site
  • How many guests we’re serving
  • Parking and the route in

Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What we need to know

You don’t need every detail fixed to get a quote, but it helps to know:

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Where the event is
  • Expected numbers

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: venue, timings, menu ideas and access. To send your details, tell us about it on our contact page.

West End questions

Which station is closest to West End?

Guests can use Chestfield & Swalecliffe station, about 1.3 miles north-west of West End.

Can the taco bar go in a local hall rather than outside?

We can, as long as the venue agrees. The station needs room for a queue, and we need to park and unload close to the door.

Do you cover West End?

We do. West End is one of the places we cover. Tell us your date and we will check availability.

How does taco bar hire work?

A serving table is laid with warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas and toppings, and each guest builds their own. Our staff keep it hot and topped up.

What space does a taco bar need?

Send us details of the venue and where you’d like the bar, and we’ll check it works. The venue’s agreement is needed too.

Do you need power and water?

It depends on the event and the set-up, so we confirm power and water arrangements with each booking. Tell us what’s available at your venue.

What guest numbers do you cater for?

It depends on the event and the timings. Most bookings fall around 50 to 400 guests.

Can you do dairy-free food?

We can. Dairy-free options are part of our menus.

What happens on the day

Once service is over, we pack down and clear our own area. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. Evenings in West End stay light until about 9:15pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:00pm. After dusk, lights over the station help guests build their tacos.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. We plan the fillings and toppings with you and quote for them.
  3. Before the day, we confirm the serving spot, unloading, power and water with the venue.
  4. On the day our staff lay out the bar and keep it stocked while guests build their tacos.
  5. Once guests have eaten, we take down the bar and leave the spot tidy.

Getting ready for the day

  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time

Dietary needs and planning tips

With a little notice, most diets are easy. We suggest:

  • Count children separately
  • Include a vegan filling on the bar
  • Put allergies in writing for us
  • Have tables and seats ready for guests to eat at

Each dish is labelled, and allergen information is kept at the bar.

Nachos to share can keep guests going before the bar opens.
