Taco bar hire in Wigley, from our truck or trailer

Our staff set up the taco bar and look after it through service: keeping the fillings hot, warming tortillas and topping up the bowls. Your hosts can stay with their guests. We serve pickled onions and toppings, fresh salsas and a build-your-own taco bar, and it is a good fit for retirement parties and staff parties.

Somewhere as small as Wigley, a garden, barn or hall can host a taco bar. If the truck can’t get close, we can set the station up nearer your guests, as long as we can unload within a short walk. Everything is prepared fresh for your event and served from our truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

The process

Your timings come first. If things run behind, let us know and we’ll adjust where we can. Around midsummer it stays light in Wigley until about 9:25pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:10pm, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 4:00pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Send us the date, venue and numbers.
  2. Together we choose what goes on the bar.
  3. We confirm the table spot and where we will unload.
  4. On the day, guests help themselves while we keep the bar stocked.
  5. When everyone has eaten, we pack up.

What affects the price in Wigley

Contact us for a quote, and the price is based on:

  • How many staff you need
  • Travel, parking and access
  • The menu you choose
  • The number of people

There’s no one-size-fits-all price for taco bar hire. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Your quote sets it all out.

What to tell us

You don’t need every detail fixed to get a quote, but it helps to know:

  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • What you’d like on the menu

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, along with any dietary needs, and you’ll get menu ideas and a price. To get started, tell us about it on our contact page.

What we need at the venue

We’ll be honest if a space will not work, and help find another spot. The main points are:

  • Shelter from rain and sun for an outdoor bar
  • A parking or loading spot near the serving area
  • Room for the bar alongside the vehicle, if booked together

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly before booking.

Questions to ask before you book

Should I do it myself?

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Contact us for a quote to compare.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Wigley questions

Do you cater in villages like Wigley?

Yes, small places are no problem, given access. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

Do you cater in the New Forest National Park?

We do, where the venue allows a catering vehicle. Lanes can be narrow and ground soft, so tell us how we’d get in.

How many guests can you serve?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. Tell us your numbers and we’ll advise.

Can you plan for allergies?

Yes, and it helps to hear about allergies when you book. Under UK rules, caterers must give information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

How spicy is the food?

That’s your choice: we can keep the main dishes mild, with hotter salsas served separately.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

That is confirmed with each quote. Tell us whether your venue has crockery or you’d prefer disposables and we will talk it through.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes. Our drinks bar can be booked on its own or with food, with alcohol-free options such as aguas frescas. For alcohol, we’ll check the licensing with you and your venue.

Can we have a build-your-own taco bar?

Yes, a taco bar is one of the ways we serve. Tell us about your space and numbers and we will recommend how to serve.
