Wedding Mexican catering in Alverstoke, from our truck or trailer

We can do the wedding breakfast, evening food, or the two together. A taco bar for the meal and loaded nachos or tacos for the evening works well. At engagement celebrations and civil partnerships and vow renewals, we will put together a menu of burrito bowls, tacos and loaded nachos.

Near Alverstoke, weddings are often in fields, barns or gardens. A truck or trailer works well there: no kitchen, just firm ground and access. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. You can book food, drinks or both, so the food and drinks can come from one caterer.

Common questions in Alverstoke

Could you come to a seaside event near Alverstoke?

We can, given firm ground and the landowner’s permission. Beaches and promenades generally need the council’s agreement, so check that first.

Can you cater a reception after a service at The Little Church?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

What about supplier meals?

Yes, include them in your numbers. Tell us when they’ll eat.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes. Vegetarian and vegan fillings, such as spiced mushrooms or black beans, can be part of the menu.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We pack down and leave our area tidy. Let us know the venue’s rules on waste and we’ll confirm the arrangements with your quote.

When do you arrive?

It depends on your event. We agree arrival, service and pack-down times with you to suit your day.

Can you do the wedding breakfast and evening food?

We can cater as much or as little of the day as you like. Tell us what you have in mind.

When should we book?

The sooner the better. Popular dates go first, so it pays to ask early.

What wedding Mexican catering costs

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • Parking and the route in
  • What the venue already provides

Pricing depends on the event. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Contact us for a quote.

Details that help

Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:

  • The venue or postcode
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers

Every event is quoted individually, based on what you need. To ask for one, use our quote form.

Catering for every guest

A Mexican menu is easy to plan for mixed diets, because guests can choose what suits them. A few tips:

  • Plan a covered area for eating in case of rain
  • Ask about your date as soon as you have one
  • Send us the running order and speech times
  • Put us in touch with your venue

The truck or trailer can be placed where guests can see it.

Quesadillas go down well with children.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

Organising for someone else?

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

For larger events, we plan serving points around your timings, so guests are looked after quickly. Let us know how long the break is.

Wedding Mexican catering or something else?

If you’re weighing up a taco bar against a traditional menu, consider the venue, the diets and the style you want. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Ask us for a quote.

How the day works

The truck or trailer needs a level, firm spot with access to drive in, with power and water arrangements agreed beforehand. Send us a picture of the space if you are unsure. In Alverstoke, midsummer sunset is about 9:20pm, and by late September it is nearer 7:10pm, so evening tacos are usually served in daylight in high summer. For autumn and winter weddings, when it is dark by about 4:00pm in December, plan lighting around the truck or trailer.

  1. First, we check availability for your date.
  2. You pick the menu with us.
  3. We confirm access and the serving spot with your coordinator.
  4. Food is served from the taco bar or the hatch.
  5. We serve, then pack down.

Preparing for the day

  • Find out what power and water are available
  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day

Planning a taco wedding in Alverstoke

Alverstoke is about 2 miles south of Gosport, in Hampshire. For wedding Mexican catering in Alverstoke, we can park up at venues, fields, drives and courtyards in and around Alverstoke. Alverstoke is one of 683 towns and villages in Hampshire we cover.

Couples who choose a church such as The Little Church for the ceremony often pick a reception spot a short drive away. We can set up while the photos are taken. For outdoor photos, West of the River Alver is close by. The sea is within about 3 miles, close enough for a coastal wedding. Coastal wind, sand and seafront access all need planning for a truck or trailer.

We serve at weddings all over PO12 and the streets around it. Streets in the area include The Lane, Fort Road and Church Road, and a wedding on any of them can work if the truck or trailer can park nearby. Nearby, we also cater weddings in Clayhall (1 mile east), Haslar (1 mile east), Privett (1 mile north-west), Portsmouth Point (2 miles north-east) and Portsea (2 miles north-east). We also cater in nearby towns such as Havant (9 miles north-east), Fareham (5 miles north), Horndean (11 miles north-east), Hedge End (12 miles north-west), Waterlooville (9 miles north-east) and Purbrook (8 miles north-east).

  • Local schools include Bay House School (0.8 miles north-west)
  • Pubs nearby include Village Home pub (under half a mile north)

Planning the serving area

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We need:

  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours
  • A place for the truck or trailer near where guests are eating
  • Room for a queue in front of the serving hatch

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly.
