Choosing a Mexican caterer

How our wedding Mexican catering works in Chale

We cater weddings in and around Chale, from garden celebrations to marquee receptions. Tell us your plans and we will suggest what fits. It suits garden and marquee weddings and receptions after an intimate ceremony, with loaded nachos, tacos and quesadillas.

A wedding in a small place like Chale often means a field, a barn or a family garden. A truck or trailer works well there: no venue kitchen needed, just level, firm ground and a way in. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. We serve from the hatch of our truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

Planning the serving area

Plenty of outdoor spaces and venues work for us, but a few things matter:

  • A place for the truck or trailer near where guests are eating
  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
  • A flat, firm spot where the truck or trailer can stand

Chale is a more remote spot, so tell us early and we’ll plan the journey and access for the truck or trailer.

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly before you book.

What wedding Mexican catering costs

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • The length of service
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Distance and access to the venue

What’s on the menu makes a difference to the total, so share your ideas with us. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.

Details that help

Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:

  • The address or venue name
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • What power and water the site has
  • Your menu ideas

To get a price, just fill in our quote form. Give us the details of your wedding, and we will put together a menu and price.

Wedding Mexican catering or something else?

A buffet can leave food sitting out. Tacos go straight from the hatch to the plate. The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

Why book with us

  • A clear quote
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch
  • Service planned around your numbers
  • Menus chosen with you

Read our pricing or our guide to catering costs.

Organising for someone else?

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

If you are planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.

Diets, allergies and planning

A Mexican menu is easy to plan for mixed diets, because options can be kept separate. A few tips:

  • Confirm the venue’s catering rules early
  • Tell us about guests with coeliac disease or severe allergies
  • Count day and evening guests separately
  • Connect us with your coordinator

For a taco bar, fillings, salsas and toppings go out on a serving table, and guests come up table by table if you like.

Quesadillas suit younger guests at the wedding breakfast.

Popular choices

Burrito bowls

Rice, beans, a filling and toppings in a bowl, easy to eat seated.

Loaded nachos

Crisp chips piled with toppings.

Your questions about wedding Mexican catering in Chale

Do you cater in villages like Chale?

Yes, small places are no problem, given access. Let us know about access and parking for the truck or trailer.

Do you cater at coastal events near Chale?

We can, given firm ground and the landowner’s permission. Beaches and promenades generally need the council’s agreement, so check that first.

Do you need power and water?

Let us know what’s available on site, for example a supply from the venue, and we’ll confirm what we need with your quote.

How soon do we need to book?

The sooner the better. Popular dates go first, so get in touch early.

Where do you cater?

London and South East England: Greater London, Kent and Medway, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

How much is a food truck for an event?

It depends on guest numbers, the menu, the length of service and the location. Contact us for a quote.

Can you cater for vegans and gluten-free guests?

We can. We plan gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests, plus allergen information for every dish.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We pack down and tidy our own area after service. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

The process

From set-up to service, we look after everything you’ve booked from us, so you can enjoy your wedding. Late-September weddings in Chale see the sun go down at about 7:10pm, so an evening taco service may start as the light fades. In late May it stays light until about 8:55pm.

  1. We start with your date, venue, guest numbers and ideas for the day.
  2. Together we choose a taco bar, evening food or both, and we send a quote.
  3. Timings and where the truck or trailer will stand are agreed with your venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve on cue, around speeches and photos.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Before we arrive

  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Ask the venue about power and water
