Dietary needs and planning tips

Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:

  • Ask about diets and allergies with your RSVPs
  • Ask about your date as soon as you have one
  • Connect us with your coordinator
  • Have cover for guests if the weather turns

We serve evening food when the running order says, often after the first dance.

A wider choice of salsas and toppings fills out the taco bar.

Wedding Mexican catering in Sunnymeads, from our truck or trailer

We cater weddings in and around Sunnymeads, from garden celebrations to marquee receptions. Share your plans and we will suggest a menu. It works well for receptions after a small ceremony and engagement parties, with quesadillas, loaded nachos and a taco bar for the wedding breakfast.

Near Sunnymeads, weddings are often in fields, barns or gardens. That’s where a food truck comes into its own: no kitchen, just firm ground and access. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. We will check the space, access and power with you before the day, so set-up goes smoothly.

Prices and what affects them

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Serving staff
  • How many guests we’re serving
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • What’s on the menu

Got a budget? Let us know, and we’ll suggest a menu that fits. Even a simple menu can feel generous.

Details that help

The more we know about your wedding, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • A picture of the space, if it is a garden or field
  • The address or venue name
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • The date and time of the event

Still deciding on the menu? That is fine: give us the basics about your wedding, and we’ll suggest a menu. To start, use our quote form.

For planners, venues and organisers

If you are organising for someone else, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.

If you’re booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we will talk you through the process. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

Planning a taco wedding in Sunnymeads

Sunnymeads is about 3 miles north of Egham, in Surrey. We cater weddings at gardens, halls and venues around Sunnymeads and nearby villages. Sunnymeads is one of 395 towns and villages in Surrey where we can bring wedding Mexican catering. Our truck and trailer cover the area from Sunnymeads to Guildford (about 15 miles away).

With a ceremony at a church such as SS Peter and Andrew's Church, the simplest plan is a reception close by, so guests are not travelling far before they eat. We can set up while the photos are taken. Group shots in Arthur Jacob Nature Reserve could be lovely, though some parks ask for notice or a permit, so look into it.

Wherever your wedding is in TW19, SL4 and SL3, we can bring wedding Mexican catering to you. From The Avenue, Park Avenue and Welley Road or anywhere nearby, we’ll plan where to park and serve. If your venue is just outside Sunnymeads, we also cover Wraysbury (1 mile south), Horton (1 mile east), Old Windsor (1 mile south-west), Brands Hill (1 mile north-east) and Datchet (1 mile north-west). Larger places within reach include Guildford (15 miles south), Woking (10 miles south), Camberley (12 miles south-west), Epsom (15 miles south-east), Ewell (15 miles south-east) and Egham (3 miles south).

Other landmarks nearby include Berkshire Yeomanry Museum (2.2 miles west) and Windsor Castle (2.2 miles north-west). Open spaces near Sunnymeads include Staines Reservoirs.

  • Schools near Sunnymeads include Churchmead School (1.5 miles north-west)
  • Nearby, you’ll find The Perserverance Public House (0.8 miles south)

About the menu

Evening tacos

Hot tacos served from the truck or trailer, quick to serve and easy to eat.

Salsas and guacamole

The salsas and guacamole finish every plate.

How it compares

A plated wedding breakfast needs a kitchen and a larger team. We bring our kitchen with us, and a taco bar feels more relaxed. The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.

Why book with us

  • Quick, friendly service from the hatch
  • Events in Sunnymeads and across Surrey
  • Served fresh from our truck or trailer
  • Food and drinks from one caterer, if you want both

Where the truck can go in Sunnymeads

We will agree the spot with you before the day. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • Space for guests to queue
  • A serving point within easy walk of the reception
  • A route in that is wide and tall enough, with soft ground checked in advance

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think before you book.

What happens on the day

The truck or trailer needs a level, firm spot with access to drive in, and we agree power and water arrangements before the day. Send us a photo of the space if you’re unsure. For a summer wedding in Sunnymeads, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, which means evening food is normally served in daylight in June and July. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it’s dark by about 3:55pm.

  1. First, we check availability for your date.
  2. You pick the menu with us.
  3. We confirm access and the serving spot with your coordinator.
  4. Food is served from the taco bar or the hatch.
  5. After serving, we clear away.

Preparing for the day

  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Let us know who to talk to on the day

Sunnymeads questions

Will you travel to a small place like Sunnymeads?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Can you cater a reception after a service at SS Peter and Andrew's Church?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

What’s on the menu?

Mexican street food and drinks: tacos and build-your-own taco bars, burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas, plus salsas, guacamole and toppings. We also run a Mexican drinks bar.

What access do you need?

The main things are access and a level spot: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. Send us a picture and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

What areas do you cover?

We cater across London and the South East, including Surrey. Find your area.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we offer a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we’ll check the licensing with you.

Is Mexican street food too casual for a wedding?

It can be dressed up or kept relaxed, depending on how it’s served.

When do you arrive?

That depends on your event and menu. Timings are agreed in advance so everything fits your schedule.

Can I do a taco night myself?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it’s more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.
