Our truck or trailer is available to hire for events across Aston and nearby. For family reunions and staff summer parties, we can serve fresh salsas and guacamole, quesadillas and loaded nachos and more.

In a rural place like Aston, access is the main thing to plan for a hired truck: gate widths, soft ground and the route from the road all matter. We confirm power and water arrangements with you. Dietary needs and planning tips

Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:

  • Put anyone with a severe allergy in touch with us
  • Check early that your venue allows food trucks
  • Give us separate numbers for children
  • Tell us about coeliac guests

The hatch opens at the time you choose, and we cook each order as it comes.

Simple quesadillas suit younger guests, if you’d like a kids’ choice.

FAQs for Aston

Is Aston close to London?

It’s about 34 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Can we hire your food truck for a private party in Aston?

Yes, as long as we are available on the date and can get the truck or trailer in. Let us know about access and where we’d park.

How far ahead should we book?

The sooner the better. Popular dates go first, so get in touch early.

Can we have a build-your-own taco bar?

Yes, a taco bar is one of the ways we serve. Let us know your numbers and space and we will recommend how to serve.

Do you have dairy-free options?

Yes, on request. Tell us how many guests need dairy-free food, and we will include them in the plan.

Can we hire the truck for our wedding?

The truck or trailer can serve the wedding breakfast, evening food or both. We fit service around your running order. Read more in having a food truck at a wedding.

Do you need electricity?

Let us know what’s available on site, for example a supply from the venue, and we will confirm what we need with your quote.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Yes, and it helps to hear about allergies when you book. Under UK rules, caterers must give information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.

The process

We take care of everything you’ve booked, from set-up to service, so you can spend time with your guests. A hired food truck at a summer event in Aston can serve in daylight until about 9:25pm at midsummer, while late September brings sunset forward to around 7:05pm. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, plan lighting where guests queue at the hatch.

  1. Ask us whether your date is available.
  2. We agree a hatch menu and send a quote.
  3. The spot and the way in are agreed in advance.
  4. We drive in, open the hatch and serve your guests.
  5. After service, we close up and leave the spot clear.

Preparing for the day

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone has to serve all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

Comparing your options

Plated catering needs a kitchen tent, waiting staff and set courses. Our truck or trailer brings the kitchen and serves from one hatch, needing level ground, access and the venue’s permission. What’s on the menu makes a difference to the total, so tell us what you have in mind. Tell us your budget and we’ll suggest a menu.
