Should I do it myself?

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

How our food truck hire works in Bridge

As a guide, hiring the truck or trailer suits around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller gatherings are looked at case by case. At end-of-year parties and retirement parties, we can serve burritos, quesadillas and tacos from the hatch for your guests.

In a small place like Bridge, a hired food truck might park in a garden, paddock or field. Lanes, gates and long drives are fine if we know about them. Soft ground after rain is worth mentioning too. We arrive ready to serve, and clear our own area when service is finished.

Bridge: your questions answered

Could we book your food truck for a private event in Bridge?

Yes, depending on the date. For a private or work event in a village or hamlet, the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Will you travel to a small place like Bridge?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

How much is food truck hire?

We quote for every hire, depending on numbers, menu, location and timings. Contact us for a quote.

Can you cater for children?

Yes, children are easy to plan for. Let us know numbers and ages, and we will suggest mild options.

Can you plan for allergies?

Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. UK law requires caterers to provide information on 14 allergens, and we give it for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.

Do you cook on site?

We slow-cook fillings ahead, then finish them and keep them hot at your event. The tortillas are warmed on site, and the salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Do you have dairy-free options?

Yes, we can. Let us know your dairy-free numbers, and we will include them in the plan.

Do you do a taco bar?

Yes, a taco bar is one of our options. Tell us about your space and numbers and we’ll recommend how to serve.

How the day works

Your timings come first. If things run behind, tell us and we will adjust the start of service where we can. Late-September events in Bridge see sunset at about 7:00pm, so a later service will need some lighting. A late-May event keeps its light until roughly 8:45pm.

  1. Ask us whether your date is available.
  2. We agree a hatch menu and send a quote.
  3. We confirm the parking spot and the route in.
  4. On the day, guests order at the hatch and we cook to order.
  5. We pack down and drive away when service ends.

Before we arrive

  • Let us know who to talk to on the day
  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
