Food truck hire in Forest Corner, from our truck or trailer

We cook inside our food truck or trailer, so there is no need for kitchen space at the venue. We need a level spot, safe access and the venue’s permission, with power and water confirmed per booking. It suits anniversary celebrations and garden parties, with burrito bowls, fresh salsas and guacamole and loaded nachos.

In a rural place like Forest Corner, access is the main thing to plan for a hired truck: gate widths, soft ground and the route from the road all matter. We confirm power and water arrangements with you. We cater for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests, with allergen information for everything we serve.

For planners, venues and organisers

If you are organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

Planning for every diet

We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests. To make it work smoothly:

  • Tell us about coeliac guests
  • Plan a covered area for guests to eat
  • Check gate widths and any height limits
  • Ask about parking rules if we’ll be on a road

We keep allergen information for every dish at the hatch.

Ask us about napkins, plates and cutlery and we will confirm the options in your quote.

Forest Corner: your questions answered

Can we hire your food truck for a private party in Forest Corner?

Yes, depending on the date. For a private or work event in a village or hamlet, the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

We are having a ceremony at St John the Baptist: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Tell us where the reception will be.

What do you need at the venue?

Tell us where you’d like the truck, and we will check it works. Our guide to space and power has more.

Can you cater for guests who avoid dairy?

We can. We offer dairy-free options, and we’ll tell you which dishes contain milk.

What’s on the menu?

Every menu is agreed with you. Fillings might include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. See our menu for ideas.

Can we hire the truck for our wedding?

Wedding food from a truck feels relaxed and sociable. We agree access and timings with the venue.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

Our truck and trailer service normally suits events of around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case. Send us your numbers and we’ll advise.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we offer a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we’ll go through the licensing with you.

How it works

We arrive in good time before service, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. At midsummer, it stays light in Forest Corner until about 9:25pm, while late September brings sunset forward to around 7:10pm. In December it’s dark by about 4:05pm, so the queue by the hatch needs lighting.

  1. Share your plans for the event.
  2. Together we plan dishes that cover your guests’ diets.
  3. Power, water and timings are agreed with you or the venue.
  4. The truck serves at the agreed times.
  5. Once service ends, we tidy up and go.

Getting ready for the day

  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
  • Tell us when you want service to start
  • Ask the venue about power and water

How to get a price

What we need at the venue

No two venues are the same, so we ask about the space when you get in touch. Generally, we look for:

  • A place for guests to eat close to the hatch
  • Gate widths, overhead branches and soft ground checked in advance
  • Level, solid ground for the vehicle

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.
