How our food truck hire works in Greenhill

You could pick fillings such as chicken tinga, carnitas or beef birria, alongside a vegan option such as spiced mushroom. There are options for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests. At leaving dos and retirements and engagements and anniversaries, we’ll put together a menu of burritos, quesadillas and vegan tacos.

In Greenhill, a yard, forecourt or car park can suit a hired food truck. We need a level spot and room for a queue at the hatch, plus your venue’s agreement. Guests are served from our food truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Contact us for a quote to compare.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

What food truck hire costs

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, because of:

  • Whether you need disposables
  • What’s on the menu
  • How many staff you need
  • Guest numbers

Pricing depends on the event. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.

What to tell us

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what to include:

  • Where the event is
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • Your date and when you want service to start

Each quote is tailored to your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we will check availability at the same time.

Questions from Greenhill

Is food truck hire possible at a house in Greenhill?

That depends on the space. A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work, as long as the truck or trailer can reach a level spot. Tell us what’s outside, and remember the ULEZ covers all of Greater London.

Which station is closest to Greenhill?

Guests can use Harrow-on-the-Hill station, which is right in Greenhill.

Can you do gluten-free food?

Yes, gluten-free options are available, using corn tortillas. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can talk through how their food is prepared. See are corn tortillas gluten-free?

Do you come to Greenhill?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, including Greenhill. For a quote, use our quote form.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Ask about your date even if it’s soon.

Is the food suitable for children?

Yes, children are easy to plan for. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we will suggest mild options.

How much is food truck hire?

We do not publish set prices, because each hire is different. Send your details and you will get a quote. Our food truck hire guide explains what affects the cost.

What do you need at the venue?

Access and level ground matter most: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. Send us a photo and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

Nearby historic houses include Headstone Manor (1.1 miles north-west) and Northolt Manor (3.1 miles south-west). Diets, allergies and planning

A Mexican menu is easy to plan for mixed diets, because options can be kept separate. Here are a few tips for planning:

  • Agree service times with us
  • Give us separate numbers for children
  • Look into parking permissions if the truck can’t go off-road
  • Confirm the venue accepts outside caterers and vehicles

If your timings move, let us know, and we will work around it.

Ask us about napkins, plates and cutlery and we’ll confirm the options in your quote.

Organising a club, school or community event in Greenhill? A truck or trailer serves a crowd quickly, with options for most diets. Give us the details and we’ll suggest a plan.

Planning the serving area

Access is the first thing to check for a truck or trailer. We need:

  • Room for guests to gather at the hatch
  • Enough width and height on the route in
  • Any parking or loading permission needed for street locations

In Greenhill, as everywhere in Greater London, the ULEZ applies and kerb space is limited. Where will the truck or trailer stop? A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise.

Step by step

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, get the serving area ready, and get on with serving. Planning a private evening event in Greenhill? Sunset is around 8:55pm in late May and 9:20pm in late June. After that, festoon lights or lamps near the truck help guests order.

  1. Tell us what the event is and who’s coming.
  2. Together we plan dishes that cover your guests’ diets.
  3. Power, water and timings are agreed with you or the venue.
  4. Service runs at the times you choose.
  5. Once service ends, we tidy up and go.

How to prepare

  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
  • Find out what power and water are available
