Planning an event in Kiddington?

Comparing your options

A marquee kitchen with plated service needs more space, more staff and more time. Our truck or trailer brings the kitchen and serves from one hatch, needing level ground, access and the venue’s permission. The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, plus any add-ons and the location. We quote for each event individually.

Why book with us

  • Set-up planned with you and your venue
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch
  • A menu built around your guests
  • Every guest catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free included

Food truck hire in Kiddington, served fresh

We cook inside our truck or trailer, so your venue does not need a kitchen. We need a level spot, safe access and the venue’s permission. It suits family celebrations and winter staff parties, serving quesadillas, burrito bowls and vegan tacos.

Somewhere as small as Kiddington, food truck hire can mean a garden, a field or a barn. Tell us about narrow lanes, gates and long drives. Firm ground matters, especially after rain. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

The process

Serving is quick: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. When service ends, we pack down. December events in Kiddington lose the light at about 3:55pm, so ask the venue about outdoor lighting where we will park. At midsummer, sunset is around 9:30pm.

  1. Tell us the date, the location, rough numbers and any diets.
  2. We check availability and send a menu and a quote for hiring the truck or trailer.
  3. Before the day, we agree the spot, the way in, power and water.
  4. Your guests order at the hatch and we serve hot food at the agreed times.
  5. Once guests are fed, we clear our area and head off.

Getting ready for the day

  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day

FAQs for Kiddington

We are having a ceremony at Church of St Nicholas: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

Is Kiddington close to London?

About 62 miles from central London, and well within our area.

How long do you serve for?

We get there well before service to set up. The length of service is agreed when you book.

What do you need at the venue?

The main things are access and a level spot: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. Send us a picture and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

How much does food truck hire cost?

We don’t publish set prices, because each hire is different. Tell us your plans and we will quote for your event. Our food truck hire guide explains what affects the cost.

What does hiring your food truck involve?

We bring our truck or trailer to your venue, park in the agreed spot and serve your guests from the hatch. It’s a private booking for your guests only.

How many guests can you serve?

Truck and trailer service usually suits around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case. Tell us your numbers.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Let us know how many vegetarian and vegan guests to expect.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.
