Food truck hire in Regents Park, from our truck or trailer

You could pick fillings such as chicken tinga, carnitas or beef birria, with vegan choices like black bean and sweet potato. We plan for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free diets. It works well for retirement parties and end-of-year parties, serving tacos from the hatch, burritos and vegan tacos.

For a place the size of Regents Park, food truck hire at your own home is often simplest: no venue hire, and guests order at the hatch. Let us know about the route to the house. Access, space and power are agreed with you beforehand, so there are no surprises on arrival.

Regents Park: parking, access and venues

Regents Park is about 2 miles west of Southampton, in Southampton. Anywhere in SO15, we can serve your guests. We cover 40 places across Southampton, wherever the truck or trailer can get in.

After a service at a church such as Church of the Holy Trinity, a hired food truck at a garden, field or venue nearby can feed everyone. Before you plan a private event in St James' Park, ask whoever manages it about vehicles on site. With the New Forest National Park within about 7 miles, a rural setting for your private or work event is within reach. Firm ground and a clear way in matter most for the truck or trailer. A private event by the sea is within reach, as Regents Park is within about 3 miles of the coast. Promenades and beaches normally need the council’s agreement for a catering vehicle.

We cover events in every part of SO15, SO16 and SO17 and the streets around it. Local streets include May Road, Mill Road and York Road; for an event at home on any of them, tell us where the truck or trailer can park. Main roads around Regents Park include the A33 and A3057, so getting the truck or trailer to your event is simple. If your venue is just outside Regents Park, we also cover Shirley (1 mile east), Millbrook (1 mile south-west), Freemantle (1 mile south-east), Maybush (1 mile north-west) and Coxford (1 mile north). We also cater in nearby towns such as Townhill Park (4 miles east), Midanbury (3 miles east), Thornhill (4 miles east), Chartwell Green (4 miles east), Harefield (4 miles east) and Itchen (3 miles east). Regents Park is among the bigger towns we cover in Southampton, with plenty of venues for events.

Other landmarks nearby include Marlands Shopping Centre (1.8 miles south-east) and Netley Castle (4.6 miles south-east). The countryside around Regents Park includes Testwood Lakes.

  • Schools near Regents Park include Foundry Lane Primary School (under half a mile east) and Millbrook Community School (1.2 miles north-west)
  • Nearby, you’ll find The Crown Public House (within half a mile north-east)

How it compares

For food that becomes part of the event, hiring a Mexican food truck is worth considering in Regents Park. Your choice of food and drinks affects the price, so tell us what you have in mind. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.

What you get with us

  • A plan agreed before the day
  • Menus for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests
  • A truck or trailer that comes to you
  • Quoted for your event

Read our pricing or our guide to catering costs.

Prices and what affects them

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, depending on:

  • How many guests we’re serving
  • Whether you need disposables
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • What’s on the menu

Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What to tell us

These details help us quote quickly:

  • The date and rough timings
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • What you’d like on the menu

The quickest way to a quote is to drop us a line using the enquiry form. Give us the details of your event, and we’ll put together a menu and price.

Diets, allergies and planning

Mixed diets are straightforward to plan for, because guests can choose what suits them. Here are a few tips for planning:

  • Confirm the venue accepts outside caterers and vehicles
  • Ask guests about dietary needs when they reply
  • Email us any allergies
  • Agree service times with us

Guests come to the hatch, order and wait a short moment for hot food.

Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas from our drinks bar can be added to the booking, with licensing checked with you.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

Your questions about food truck hire in Regents Park

What’s the nearest station to Regents Park for guests?

Guests can use Millbrook (Hants) station, about 0.6 miles south-east of Regents Park.

Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of the Holy Trinity?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Tell us where the reception will be.

Do you cater for dietary needs?

We plan gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests. Every dish has allergen information.

Can guests build their own tacos?

Yes, a taco bar is one of the ways we serve. Let us know your numbers and space and we will recommend how to serve.

Do you provide plates and napkins?

Please ask us. Tell us what your venue provides, and we will confirm what’s included with your quote.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote.

Can you plan for allergies?

Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. UK law requires caterers to provide information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

Do you cook on site?

We cook to order in our food truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.

Step by step

When we arrive, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. Service starts at the time we’ve agreed, so everything runs to your schedule. At midsummer, it stays light in Regents Park until about 9:25pm, and by late September sunset is about 7:10pm. In December it’s dark by about 4:00pm, so the queue by the hatch needs lighting.

  1. First come the basics: date, location, numbers and diets.
  2. We suggest a menu for the hatch and quote for it.
  3. Where the truck or trailer will stand, the route in, and power and water are all agreed in advance.
  4. Your guests order at the hatch and we serve hot food at the agreed times.
  5. When service ends, we pack up and leave the spot clear.

Getting ready for the day

  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
