Food truck hire for your event in Riseden

We cook inside our food truck or trailer, so there is no need for kitchen space at the venue. We need a level spot, safe access and the venue’s permission, with power and water confirmed per booking. Popular choices include fresh salsas and guacamole, vegan tacos and burritos, and it’s a good fit for family celebrations and staff appreciation days.

Somewhere as small as Riseden, food truck hire can mean a garden, a field or a barn. Tell us about narrow lanes, gates and long drives. Firm ground matters, especially after rain. Access, space and power are agreed with you beforehand, so there are no surprises on arrival.

Questions to ask before booking

DIY taco night versus a caterer

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

What’s on the menu

Quesadillas

Crisp tortillas folded round melted cheese.

Tacos from the hatch

Tacos are quick to serve and easy to eat standing up.

Prices and what affects them

Every event is priced individually, based on a few main things:

  • How many guests we are serving
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • What the venue already provides

There’s no one-size-fits-all price for food truck hire. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.

What we need to know

To check availability and price, we need:

  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Where the event is
  • The date and time of the event

Every event is quoted individually, so the price fits what you actually want. For a quote, send us your details through our quote form.

Step by step

When we arrive, we park the truck or trailer in the agreed spot and set up. Service starts at the time we’ve agreed, planned around your event. By late September, it is dark in Riseden at around 7:00pm, so a later service will need some lighting. A late-May event keeps its light until roughly 8:50pm.

  1. Tell us the date, the location, rough numbers and any diets.
  2. You get a hatch menu and a quote for the hire.
  3. Where the truck or trailer will stand, the route in, and power and water are all agreed in advance.
  4. Your guests order at the hatch and we serve hot food at the agreed times.
  5. After service, we close the hatch, pack down and drive away.

Getting ready for the day

Working with your venue

Events in public spaces, like parks, typically need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we’ll keep you updated on timings and set-up.

Planning for every diet

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. We suggest:

  • Ask guests with severe allergies to speak to us beforehand
  • Look into parking permissions if the truck can’t go off-road
  • Check gate widths and any height limits
  • Tell us when guests should eat

If your timings move, let us know and we’ll adjust service.

Add a build-your-own taco bar beside the truck for a wedding breakfast or lunch.

Your questions about food truck hire in Riseden

Can you cater a reception after a service at Christ Church?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Send us the reception address.

Is Riseden close to London?

It’s about 36 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

When do you arrive?

How does food truck hire work?

We bring our food truck or trailer to your venue, park in the agreed spot and serve your guests from the hatch. Only your guests are served.

Can you serve in the rain?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

Can you do gluten-free food?

Yes, we offer gluten-free options, using corn tortillas. Tell us about any coeliac guests before the event so we can talk through how their food is prepared. See are corn tortillas gluten-free?

How much is food truck hire?

We don’t publish set prices, because each hire is different. Tell us your plans and we will quote for your event. Our food truck hire guide explains what affects the cost.
