Food truck hire in Upper Holloway, served fresh

In a London neighbourhood like Upper Holloway, the first question for food truck hire is parking. A drive, a courtyard or a car park can all work, with permission, and some streets may need a parking suspension from the council. All of Greater London is inside the ULEZ. Access, space and power are agreed with you beforehand, so there are no surprises on arrival.

Diets, allergies and planning

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Try these:

  • Ask guests with severe allergies to speak to us beforehand
  • Count children separately
  • Walk the access route and note narrow gaps
  • Share your running order

Guests order at the hatch and their food is handed out hot.

Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas from our drinks bar can join the truck, with licensing checked with you.

Common questions in Upper Holloway

Which station should guests use for Upper Holloway?

Upper Holloway station, in Upper Holloway itself.

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Whittington Park?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we’ll send what they need from us.

How much does food truck hire cost?

We do not publish set prices, because each hire is different. Send your details and you’ll get a quote. Our food truck hire guide explains what affects the cost.

Where do you cater?

We cater across London and the South East, Greater London included. See all areas.

Is private hire the same as trading at a festival?

At a private hire, we serve your guests and nobody else, with a menu and timings you agree with us. At festivals and markets we trade to the public; see our street food catering page.

Do you cook on site?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. Tortillas are warmed on site, and salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

What do you need at the venue?

Tell us where you’d like the truck, and we will check the access. Our guide to space and power has more.

How long are you on site?

It depends on your event. Timings are agreed in advance so everything fits your schedule.

Who books food truck hire in Upper Holloway?

People eat when they’re hungry, rather than all at once.

Whatever the occasion, the serving truck can be a highlight. We can cater:

  • End-of-year celebrations
  • Back-garden parties
  • Parties in venue grounds
  • Milestone birthdays

Guests leaving a church like St Andrew's Whitehall Park could walk or drive to a nearby garden or hall where the truck is ready.

How it compares

Hiring a food truck is different from finding one at a festival. At public events, anyone can buy; when you hire us, we serve only your guests, on your timings. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, plus any add-ons and the location. Every event gets its own quote.

Why us?

  • A quote that sets out what’s included
  • Every guest catered for, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free included
  • Events in Upper Holloway and across Greater London
  • Set-up planned with you and your venue

Getting an accurate quote

You do not need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:

  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • The address or venue name

Every event is quoted individually, based on what you need. To ask for one, fill in our quote form.

Should I do it myself?

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Contact us for a quote to compare.

The process

Once service is over, we pack down and clear our own area. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. At midsummer, it stays light in Upper Holloway until about 9:20pm, while late September brings sunset forward to around 7:05pm. In December it’s dark by about 3:55pm, so the queue by the hatch needs lighting.

  1. Send us your date, the address, a headcount and dietary needs.
  2. We check availability and send a menu and a quote for hiring the truck or trailer.
  3. Where the truck or trailer will stand, the route in, and power and water are all agreed in advance.
  4. On the day we drive in, set up and serve to order from the hatch.
  5. Once guests are fed, we clear our area and head off.

Getting ready for the day

  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve

How to get a price

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. When you’re ready, use our quote form.
