Mexican catering in Angel

Mexican catering in Angel, from our food truck or trailer

Planning taco catering for an event in Angel? We bring our food truck or trailer to events in and around Angel: private gardens, venue grounds, courtyards and fields, wherever we can get in safely. It works well for family gatherings and christenings and retirement and leaving parties, with fresh salsas and guacamole, a build-your-own taco bar and tacos.

Events in Angel are often in courtyards, office forecourts, hired venues and gardens with side access. If the garden is only reached through the house, a spot on the drive or the street may work, with permission. Send us a photo of the access. You will know what’s included before booking: the menu, the service time and any extras you choose.

Can I do a taco night myself?

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Parks such as Barnard Park usually need the owner’s permission for vehicles and catering, so ask before you plan an event there. For a christening or wedding at a church such as St Mark's Church, a food truck at a garden or venue nearby is an easy way to feed everyone.

We serve at events all over N1, N1P and EC1V and the streets around it. Questions to ask before you book

Your questions about Mexican catering in Angel

Where would you park in Angel?

It can be tricky, so tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway. A parking suspension may be needed, and the whole of Greater London is inside the ULEZ.

What’s the nearest station to Angel for guests?

London Kings Cross station, about 0.7 miles west of the centre.

Do you do parties at home?

That depends on access. A drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission, if the garden itself is out of reach. Tell us about the space and we will advise.

Are plates and napkins included?

Please ask us. Let us know what you already have, and we will set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

Who clears up?

We pack down and tidy our own area after service. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.

How much space do you need?

A level, firm spot for the truck or trailer, with access wide and high enough to drive in, and the venue’s agreement. Power and water arrangements are confirmed with each booking.

Do you have dairy-free options?

We can. We offer dairy-free options.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, and give allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we can’t promise anything is completely allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

The menu, item by item

Tacos

Tacos are the classic street food of Mexico. They come with fresh salsas and toppings.

Loaded nachos

Tortilla chips piled with cheese, a filling, salsa, guacamole and toppings.

The process

Your timings come first. If speeches run late or the photos take longer, let us know and we will adjust where we can. Around midsummer it stays light in Angel until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. Share the date, the venue and how many are coming.
  2. Together we plan a menu around your guests’ diets.
  3. We confirm the way in and where we’ll park.
  4. Guests order at the hatch or build their own at the taco bar.
  5. We clear our serving area when everyone is fed.

Preparing for the day

  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Name one person we can ask on the day

For event organisers in Angel

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Angel? A truck or trailer serves a crowd quickly, with options for most diets. Give us the details and we will suggest a plan.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.

Planning for every diet

Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:

  • Ask the venue whether food trucks are allowed
  • Put guests with severe allergies in touch with us early
  • Have a covered area ready in case of rain
  • Count children separately

We can still serve from the hatch if it rains, but guests will need somewhere covered to eat.

Burrito bowls suit guests who’d rather skip the tortilla.

Where the truck can go in Angel

No two venues are the same, so we ask about the space before we confirm. Generally, we look for:

  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue
  • Hardstanding or firm, level ground to park on
  • Space for a taco-bar table if you’ve chosen one

Angel is in London, inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, which covers all of Greater London, and parking can be tight: tell us about parking bays, permits, a driveway or whether a parking suspension is needed.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly.
