Mexican catering in Climping, from our food truck or trailer

Planning taco catering for an event in Climping? A build-your-own taco bar is one of the most sociable ways to feed a crowd. Guests fill their own tortillas from the fillings, salsas and toppings, so each plate is exactly how they like it. It suits garden get-togethers and engagement celebrations, serving a build-your-own taco bar, burritos and fresh salsas and guacamole.

In a rural place like Climping, access is the main thing to plan: the gate, the ground and the route from the lane. We confirm power and water arrangements with you before the day. Guests are served from our truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label anything containing allergens.

The process

Here’s how the day usually runs: we park up and get ready, we open the hatch when you’re ready, and your guests are served fresh until service ends. A December event in Climping will be in the dark from about 4:00pm, so a well-lit spot for the queue makes a big difference. In late June, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:20pm.

  1. First, send us a few details about your event.
  2. You get a sample menu and a quote.
  3. We agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
  4. On the day we park up, set up and serve hot food to order.
  5. We pack down after service and leave the area tidy.

Before we arrive

  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches

Your questions about Mexican catering in Climping

Do you come out to small places like Climping?

Yes, we cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

Can you serve near the sea around Climping?

Yes, as long as the site allows it and the ground is firm. Wind, sand and seafront permissions are the main things to plan on the coast.

What areas do you cover?

We cover London and the South East, West Sussex included. See all areas.

What space do you need?

Send us details of the venue and the access, and we’ll check it works. We also need room for a queue.

How long do you serve for?

That depends on your event and menu. We agree arrival, service and pack-down times with you to suit your day.

How soon do we need to book?

Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Ask about your date even if it is soon.

Do you do a drinks bar?

We can. Our Mexican drinks bar serves margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Licensing is checked with you first.

How does your Mexican catering work?

Our food truck or trailer is a mobile kitchen. We set up at your venue, serve hot food to order and pack down afterwards.

Organising for someone else?

Throwing a party at home? Send us a photo of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we’ll let you know if it’s a good fit.

If you are booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

What Mexican catering costs

We quote for your event, which reflects:

  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • What the venue already provides
  • Timings and hours
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food

There is no one-size-fits-all price for Mexican catering. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Contact us for a quote.

What to tell us

Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:

  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • The address or venue name

Every quote is put together for your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we will confirm whether we are available that day.

Space, access and the venue

Everything is served from our truck or trailer, so where we park matters. Here’s what we look for:

  • Room for a queue in front of the serving hatch
  • Some distance from houses and neighbours
  • The venue’s or landowner’s permission for a catering vehicle

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think.

Planning a food truck in Climping

Climping is about 2 miles west of Littlehampton, in West Sussex. We cater events at homes, gardens and venues in Climping and the surrounding area. We cater in all 371 towns and villages in West Sussex, from the larger towns to small villages, wherever the truck or trailer can get in. Our truck and trailer cover the area from Climping to Chichester (about 9 miles away).

A school such as St Mary's CofE Primary School running a summer fair or fundraiser could book a taco truck. Guests arriving by train will find that the nearest station is Littlehampton station, about 1.2 miles east. The South Downs National Park is within about 7 miles of Climping, with country venues and gardens that can suit a food truck. Some venues in protected landscapes have rules about vehicles and catering, so check with yours. With the sea within about 2 miles, a beach-side event might appeal. Promenades and beaches generally need permission, and the truck or trailer has to park on firm ground, not sand.

We cater events across BN17 and the streets around it. Whether your event is on Church Lane, Horsemere Green Lane and Crookthorn Lane or anywhere nearby, we will plan where to park and serve. Nearby, we also cater events in Horsemere Green (1 mile west), Atherington (1 mile south), Ford (1 mile north), Wick (1 mile north-east) and Tortington (2 miles north). Within a short drive, we also cover Worthing (8 miles east), Bognor Regis (5 miles west), Chichester (9 miles west), Selsey (11 miles south-west), Shoreham-by-Sea (13 miles east) and Lancing (11 miles east).

A little further out are Arundel and District Hospital (3 miles north) and Rustington Museum (3 miles east). The countryside around Climping includes WWT Arundel.

  • Local schools include The Littlehampton Academy (1.8 miles east)
  • Nearby, you’ll find The Black Horse Public House (0.7 miles south)

Dietary needs and planning tips

We cater for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests. To make it work smoothly:

  • Ask guests about diets and allergies with your invitations
  • Have a covered area ready in case of rain
  • Mention any other caterers or courses
  • Ask guests with severe allergies to talk to us before the event

Guests order at the hatch and we serve them there and then, so it is hot when it reaches them.

Tell us if you need plates, cutlery or serving staff and we’ll set out what we can do in your quote.

How it compares

Sit-down meals need a kitchen, tables and more staff. A food truck or trailer is its own kitchen, so we need a suitable spot, access and the venue’s permission, with power and water confirmed when you book. The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.

Why us?

  • Every guest catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free included
  • Access, space and power checked in advance
  • Menus chosen with you
  • Book food, drinks or both

Take a look at our prices page or our guide to catering costs.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
