How our Mexican catering works in Hassocks

Looking for taco catering in Hassocks? The menu starts with tacos: warm tortillas with your choice of fillings, plus fresh salsas, guacamole and toppings. Burritos, burrito bowls, loaded nachos and quesadillas can sit alongside them. On the menu are tacos, quesadillas and fresh salsas and guacamole, and it suits big birthday celebrations and garden parties.

In a smaller place like Hassocks, your own garden, drive or a local hall is often the simplest option: no venue to hire and no cooking for you. Let us know about the route to the house. We serve from the hatch of our food truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

About the menu

Tacos

Street tacos are small, quick and full of flavour. We serve them with salsas and toppings.

Quesadillas

Tortillas filled with melted cheese and a filling, toasted until crisp, cut into wedges.

Can I do a taco night myself?

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

Events we cater in Hassocks

Tacos and burritos go down well with most crowds: familiar, filling and easy to eat wherever guests are.

These are some of the occasions we serve in Hassocks and West Sussex:

  • Anniversaries and engagements
  • Birthday parties
  • Company summer parties
  • Retirement and leaving parties

When the service is at a church such as St Francis of Assisi, the food usually happens elsewhere, at a field, hall or garden with room for the truck.

Choosing a Mexican caterer

How we price Mexican catering

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • How long we are needed on site
  • Parking and the route in
  • How many staff you need

Access, parking and the distance to your venue can affect the price, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. The full price is confirmed in your quote.

What we need to know

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what’s useful:

  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • The date and rough timings
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • Expected numbers

Send us the date, your venue or BN6 postcode and guest numbers, plus any dietary needs, and you will get menu ideas and a price. To get started, use our quote form.

Mexican catering or something else?

Compared with a hog roast or barbecue, tacos make vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests easier to cater for, because fillings and toppings are kept separate. The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.

What you get with us

  • Served fresh from our food truck or trailer
  • Every guest catered for, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free included
  • Allergen-aware menus
  • A plan agreed before the day

Hassocks questions

Could you serve our guests after a service at St Francis of Assisi?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

How far is Hassocks from central London?

About 40 miles from central London, and well within our area.

What do you serve?

Mexican street food and drinks: tacos, taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas, with salsas, guacamole and toppings. A drinks bar is available too.

How many guests can you serve?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. Tell us your numbers and we will advise.

Do you serve in the rain?

The truck or trailer serves in the rain, though guests need a covered place to eat.

What’s on the menu?

Tacos, build-your-own taco bars, burritos, burrito bowls, loaded nachos and quesadillas, with salsas, guacamole and toppings. See our sample menu.

Do you need power and water?

It depends on the event and the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Let us know whether there’s a supply near where we will park.

Do you do a taco bar?

Yes, a taco bar is one of the ways we serve. Tell us about your space and numbers and we’ll recommend how to serve.

Space, access and the venue

We will agree the spot with you before the day. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours
  • Space for a taco-bar table if you’ve chosen one
  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think.
