Mexican catering in Strettington, from our truck or trailer

Need taco catering in Strettington? We bring our truck or trailer to events in and around Strettington: private gardens, venue grounds, courtyards and fields, wherever we can get in safely. It suits anniversaries and engagements and garden parties, with burrito bowls, fresh salsas and guacamole and a build-your-own taco bar.

For a rural spot like Strettington, fields and drives need a little planning: the gate, the ground and the route from the lane. Power and water may be limited, so we confirm the arrangements with you. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

The menu, item by item

Build-your-own taco bar

A serving table of fillings, salsas and toppings, with tortillas kept warm. Everyone builds their own.

Burritos and burrito bowls

A burrito is a meal in one. The bowl version suits anyone avoiding tortillas.

Should I do it myself?

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Read our guide to taco bars.

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.

Comparing your options

A barbecue often means a host tied to the grill. With us, the cooking happens in our food truck or trailer, so you can enjoy your event. The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.

How to compare caterers

Strettington: venues, access and local tips

Strettington is about 2 miles north-east of Chichester, in West Sussex. We bring Mexican catering to gardens, halls and venues around Strettington and the surrounding area. Strettington is one of 371 towns and villages in West Sussex we cover.

A school such as Boxgrove CofE Primary School running a summer fair or fundraiser could book a taco truck. Around Strettington, historic houses include Goodwood House (0.9 miles north-west) and West Dean House (3.8 miles north-west). Venues like these often limit where vehicles can go, so ask about access before you book one. Strettington is within about 6 miles of the sea, so for a seaside event we plan around the wind. The truck or trailer needs firm ground rather than sand or shingle, and seafront spots generally need permission from the council or landowner.

  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
  • Hardstanding or firm, level ground to park on

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

Catering for every guest

A Mexican menu is easy to plan for mixed diets, because options can be kept separate. A few tips:

  • Ask guests about diets and allergies with your invitations
  • Tell us about coeliac guests, not just gluten-free preferences
  • Tell us what other food is being served
  • Put guests with severe allergies in touch with us early

Once everyone has eaten, we tidy up and pack away.

Loaded nachos make a good sharing starter.

For planners, venues and organisers

For larger events, we plan serving points around your timings, so everyone is served promptly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

Throwing a party at home? Send a photo of the space and tell us about access, and we will let you know if it’s a good fit.

The process

Service is quick and friendly: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. When service ends, we pack down. Around midsummer it stays light in Strettington until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening events are usually served in daylight. For winter events, when it’s dark by about 4:00pm, plan lighting where guests queue and eat.

  1. Get in touch with the basics: when, where and how many.
  2. We come back with menu ideas and a quote.
  3. Nearer the date, we go over the final plan.
  4. At the agreed time, service starts from the truck or trailer.
  5. When you’re done, we pack away.

Getting ready for the day

  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
