Before you choose a spot
The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We look for:
- Agreement from the venue to bring a food truck or trailer on site
- Space for a taco-bar table if you’ve chosen one
- Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

Mexican catering in The Haven, from our truck or trailer
Mexican street food makes mixed diets simple. We plan gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests, and we give allergen information for every dish. Popular choices include a build-your-own taco bar, quesadillas and burritos, and it’s a good fit for wedding breakfasts and evening food and charity and school events.
Somewhere as small as The Haven, a garden or field is often the venue. Country lanes, long drives and gates are fine if we know about them, and soft ground after rain is worth mentioning. Guests are served from our truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan the service around your numbers.

Mexican catering or something else?
Compared with a hog roast or barbecue, tacos make vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests easier to cater for, thanks to separate fillings and toppings. Got a budget? Let us know, and we will suggest a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.

The Haven: your questions answered
Is The Haven close to London?
Roughly 34 miles from the centre of London.
Which station is closest to The Haven?
Guests can use Billingshurst station, about 3.4 miles south of The Haven.
Do you have dairy-free options?
We can. Dairy-free options are part of our menus, and we’ll tell you which dishes contain milk.
How much space do you need?
The main things are access and a level spot: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. If in doubt, send us a picture of the space and the way in.
What happens if it rains?
We can keep serving from the truck or trailer in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.
Do you cover The Haven?
We do. The Haven is one of the places we cover. Send us your date to check availability.
How soon do we need to book?
The sooner the better. Peak dates go quickly, so contact us early.
What do you serve?
We agree a sample menu with each client. Fillings could include chicken tinga, pork carnitas, al pastor-style pork and vegan options like black beans. See our menu for ideas.
Can I do a taco night myself?
You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Read our guide to taco bars.
You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.
