How our Mexican bar hire works in Crouch End

Aguas frescas are light, fruity drinks: agua de jamaica made with hibiscus, horchata, tamarind and fruit waters. They’re alcohol-free, so every guest can enjoy them. On the menu are horchata, margaritas and alcohol-free drinks, which works well for wedding receptions and evening parties and milestone birthdays.

A Mexican drinks bar works well for receptions and parties in Crouch End. As with any London event, parking and loading need planning. We will go through the licensing with you and your venue. We serve from the hatch of our food truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

The process

We arrive in good time before service, then set up and prepare everything. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. By late September, sunset in Crouch End comes at roughly 7:05pm, so margaritas after that will be served under lights. In late May, it stays light until about 8:55pm.

  1. Send us the date, venue and numbers.
  2. We check the licensing with you.
  3. You choose the drinks with us.
  4. Our bar staff serve your guests at the agreed times.
  5. We clear the bar at the end.

How to prepare

  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
  • Give us your final numbers and diets

FAQs for Crouch End

Which station is closest to Crouch End?

Crouch Hill station, about 0.7 miles south-east of the centre.

We’re having a ceremony at Christ Church: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Do you provide bar staff?

We bring bar staff.

Do you have a licence to sell alcohol?

That depends on your venue. Some venues have a premises licence; others need a Temporary Event Notice. We talk it through with you.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes. Our drinks bar can be booked on its own or with food. For alcohol, we will talk licensing through with you and your venue.

How much space do you need?

Access and level ground matter most: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. Send us a photo and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

Do you check ages at the bar?

Always. Under-18s are not served alcohol, and we may refuse service to anyone who has had too much.

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes, on request. Let us know your dairy-free numbers, and we’ll include them in the plan.

How we price Mexican bar hire

Every event is priced individually, based on a few main things:

  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • The length of service
  • Guest numbers
  • Travel, parking and access

The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

Getting an accurate quote

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what’s useful:

  • What you’d like on the menu
  • The venue or postcode
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children

It is easy to get a price: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We will send you a clear quote and a suggested menu.
