FAQs for The Hale
Which station is closest to The Hale?
Mill Hill Broadway station, about 0.7 miles south-east of the centre.
What about parking in The Hale?
It can be tricky, so tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway. A parking suspension may be needed, and the whole of Greater London is inside the ULEZ.
What’s on the menu?
Mexican street food: tacos, taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas, plus salsas, guacamole and toppings. We also run a Mexican drinks bar.
Can you do dairy-free food?
Yes. Dairy-free options are part of our menus, and we’ll tell you which dishes contain milk.
What’s on the drinks menu?
Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, plus soft drinks. We plan the list with you.
Can you serve in the rain?
We can serve from the hatch in the rain. It’s worth planning a covered area for guests, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.
Who handles the licensing?
Alcohol at an event needs the venue’s premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice. We talk licensing through with you before the day. See GOV.UK for Temporary Event Notices.
Is there a minimum number of guests?
It depends on the menu and how long service runs, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. Tell us your numbers and we will advise.

What happens on the day
The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we will help you choose a spot with room for a queue. We can serve in the rain, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit. By late September, sunset in The Hale comes at roughly 7:05pm, so margaritas after that will be served under lights. In late May, it stays light until about 8:55pm.

- We talk licensing through with you: the venue’s licence or a Temporary Event Notice.

For planners, venues and organisers
Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.
If you are booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

- A premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice in place
- Permission from the venue or landowner
- Firm, level ground where we can set up
In The Hale, as everywhere in Greater London, the ULEZ applies and kerb space is limited. Where will the truck or trailer stop? A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work.
If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.
