About our taco bar hire in Aldwych

The taco bar works for a wedding breakfast, a party or a working lunch. Guests build their plates quickly, so a crowd moves through steadily. It suits barn parties and wedding meals, with fresh salsas, slow-cooked fillings kept hot and burrito bowls.

London gardens are often reached only through the house, and many venues in Aldwych have no vehicle access to the room. The station can go where the truck cannot, as long as the venue agrees, and we need a short, clear route from where we unload. We arrive ready to serve, and clear our own area when service is finished.

Is taco bar hire right for your event?

Pizza is the usual crowd-pleaser, but a taco bar gives guests more say over what they eat. Larger events can cost less per head, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Why book with us

  • Allergen information for everything we serve
  • We cover Aldwych and the whole of Greater London
  • Service planned around your numbers
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch

Dietary needs and planning tips

Nearly every event has some special diets. To cater well for them:

  • Have anyone with a severe allergy speak to us first
  • Tell us about coeliac guests specifically
  • Fit the bar into your running order
  • Choose at least one vegan filling

We arrive with time to unload and set the bar up before guests eat.

Burrito bowls sit well on the bar for anyone avoiding tortillas.

For event organisers in Aldwych

Throwing a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about access, and we will let you know if it is a good fit.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.

Popular choices

Vegan fillings

Black bean and sweet potato, or spiced mushrooms, cooked separately.

Toppings

Lime, coriander, pickled onions, cheese and crema.

Questions from Aldwych

Could the taco bar go somewhere in Aldwych that the truck cannot reach?

Yes, if the venue allows it. The truck or trailer does not have to reach the room, but we do need to unload close by, so tell us about loading, permits and parking.

Which station should guests use for Aldwych?

The closest is London Charing Cross station, roughly 0.5 miles away.

Can you cater in a back garden?

Yes, if the truck or trailer can get in and park on level, firm ground. Tell us about the drive, gates and any slopes.

How big an event can you cater?

It depends on the menu and how long service runs, but our truck and trailer service normally suits around 50 to 400 guests. For anything outside that, ask us.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes, we offer gluten-free options, using corn tortillas. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can talk through how their food is prepared. See are corn tortillas gluten-free?

Do you cook on site?

Food is cooked to order in our truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.

What do you need at the venue?

Tell us about the venue and the spot you have in mind, and we will check it works. We also need the venue’s permission.

Where do you cater?

We cater across London and the South East, including Greater London. See all areas.

The process

Guests tend to gather around the truck, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. We can serve in the rain, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit. Winter evenings in Aldwych close in by about 3:55pm, so an indoor spot or a well-lit station works best. At midsummer, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:20pm.

  1. Tell us about your event and your guests.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar menu and a quote.
  3. We check power, water and access with your venue.
  4. We arrive, unload and lay out warm tortillas, fillings and toppings.
  5. At the end, we take everything away.

Preparing for the day

  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Tell us what power and water the site has

How to get a price

Not sure what you need yet? That’s fine: give us the basics about your event, and we will suggest a menu. When you’re ready, send a quick message through our quote form.

Occasions we cater for in Aldwych

You aren’t limited to places a truck can park, like a barn, courtyard or hall, if the venue agrees.

These are some of the occasions we serve in Aldwych and Greater London:

  • Summer garden parties
  • Leaving and retirement parties
  • Wedding meals
  • Evening receptions

Guests arriving without a car will want to know that the nearest station is London Charing Cross station, about 0.5 miles south-west.

Before booking anyone

  • Who provides plates and napkins
  • How bad weather is handled
  • A food hygiene rating you can check
  • Exactly what’s included in the price

How to compare caterers

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: see how many tacos per person. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

How we price taco bar hire

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • Guest numbers
  • Travel, parking and access
  • The length of service
  • What’s on the menu

Your choice of food and drinks affects the price, so share your ideas with us. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.

Details that help

You do not need every detail fixed to get a quote, but these help:

  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • The date and rough timings
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • What power and water the site has

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, along with any dietary needs, and we’ll reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. To get started, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
