Taco bar hire for Stockwell events

How our taco bar hire works in Stockwell

Add burrito bowls, loaded nachos or quesadillas if you’d like more choice. Margaritas and aguas frescas from our drinks bar can be added. At engagement and anniversary parties and milestone birthdays, we’ll put together a menu of fresh salsas, slow-cooked fillings kept hot and warm corn and flour tortillas.

In a London neighbourhood like Stockwell, a taco bar is handy when the truck cannot reach the garden or the room. Our staff set up a serving station on a table, and guests build their own tacos. We still need to park and unload close by, so tell us about loading bays, permits or a parking suspension. Like all of Greater London, Stockwell is inside the ULEZ. We arrive ready to serve, and clear our own area when service is finished.

How the day works

We get there well before you want to serve, then set up and prepare everything. Guests come up to order when service opens. Evenings in Stockwell stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm. Once it gets dark, guests need to see what they’re adding to their tacos.

  1. Start with your date, venue and guest numbers.
  2. We plan the fillings, salsas and toppings with you.
  3. We confirm the table spot and where we will unload.
  4. Our staff set out the bar and guests build their own tacos.
  5. We clear the bar away after service.

Preparing for the day

  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Give us a contact for the day

For event organisers in Stockwell

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

Throwing a party at home? Send us a photo of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we’ll tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Nearly every event has some special diets. To cater well for them:

  • Agree the serving spot with your venue early
  • Give us separate numbers for children
  • Tell us when guests should eat
  • Confirm a loading spot close to the bar

We get there early enough to unload, lay out the table and heat everything through.

Our truck or trailer can serve later in the day, after the taco bar.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: see how many tacos per person. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

What we need at the venue

If a space isn’t suitable, we will tell you. The main points are:

  • A sheltered spot if we’re serving outside
  • A spot next to the truck or trailer when both are booked
  • Space for a line of guests at the bar

As a London location, Stockwell is inside the ULEZ, and parking and loading take planning: let us know about permits, bays, off-street space or a parking suspension.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly.

Prices and what affects them

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Serving staff
  • What’s on the menu
  • Timings and hours
  • Distance and access to the venue

The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

What we need to know

When you get in touch, it helps to tell us:

  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • A picture of the space, if it is a garden or field
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground

We quote for each event separately, so the price fits what you actually want. To ask for one, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Why choose taco bar hire in Stockwell?

The bar can go where a vehicle can’t, like a barn, courtyard or hall, if the venue agrees.

Big or small, a truck or trailer works well. Typical bookings include:

  • Evening wedding receptions
  • Team socials
  • Leaving and retirement parties
  • Family celebrations

Thinking of a taco bar in Max Roach Park? Catering in a public park usually needs the landowner’s permission, so check first.

What to look for in a quote

  • Payment terms and deposit
  • The venue requirements
  • The deadline for final numbers
  • Who provides plates and napkins

How to compare caterers

How it compares

Compared with a hog roast or carvery, a taco bar handles vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests without separate plates. Got a budget? Let us know, and we will suggest a menu that fits. Even a simple menu can feel generous.

Why us?

  • Events in Stockwell and across Greater London
  • A menu built around your guests
  • Fast service, even with a queue
  • Allergen information for every dish

Questions from Stockwell

Where would you park in Stockwell?

That depends on the street. A drive, a courtyard or a bay suspended by the council can all work, so tell us what’s outside your venue. The ULEZ covers all of Greater London.

Can you set up a taco bar where your truck can’t park in Stockwell?

Yes, if the venue allows it. The truck or trailer does not have to reach the room, but we do need to unload close by, so tell us about loading, permits and parking.

Is a taco bar suitable for a big group?

That depends on your timings and the event. As a guide, our bookings usually fall around 50 to 400 guests, so tell us your numbers.

How does a taco bar work?

Each guest builds tacos from the fillings, salsas and toppings laid out. We run the bar from set-up to pack-down.

Do you cover Stockwell?

We do. Stockwell is one of the places we cover. Send us your date to check availability.

Is a taco bar right for a wedding?

A taco bar works well for a relaxed wedding breakfast. Service is timed around speeches and photos. Read our taco bar guide for ideas.

How soon do we need to book?

As soon as you have a date. Popular dates go first, so get in touch early.

Do you take everything away?

We pack down and tidy our own area after service. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.
