Taco bar hire in Bloxham, from our truck or trailer

A taco bar suits mixed diets well, as fillings and toppings are kept in separate dishes. We plan gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan choices, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests, plus allergen information for every dish. Popular choices include guacamole, burrito bowls and warm corn and flour tortillas, and it is a good fit for back-garden gatherings and evening receptions.

Around Bloxham, a taco bar can stand beside our truck on a drive or lawn. If the truck can’t reach the garden, we park as close as we can and set the station up where your guests are. We arrive ready to serve, and clear our own area when service is finished.

How the day works

A typical event goes like this: we arrive and set up, we open the hatch when you’re ready, and we serve your guests fresh until service ends. In Bloxham, the sun sets at about 9:30pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is generally served in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Send us the date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan the fillings, salsas and toppings with you.
  3. We confirm the table spot and where we will unload.
  4. Our staff set out the bar and guests build their own tacos.
  5. When everyone has eaten, we pack up.

Getting ready for the day

Planning help

Can I do a taco night myself?

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.

Why choose taco bar hire in Bloxham?

The difference between a taco bar and truck service is who builds the taco. From the truck, we put each order together; at the taco bar, guests do the building. Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you choose what goes in.

Why us?

  • Allergen information for every dish
  • A quote that sets out what’s included
  • Fast service, even with a queue
  • A menu built around your guests

Events we cater in Bloxham

The bar becomes a meeting point: guests compare fillings and swap topping ideas as they go.

A truck or trailer works for big and small events alike. Common bookings include:

  • Team socials
  • Barn and marquee parties
  • Birthday parties
  • Retirement parties

Nearby historic houses include Broughton Castle (1.7 miles north-west). Historic venues often limit where vehicles can go, so ask whether a taco bar station could be set up inside while our truck or trailer parks further off.

  • Any travel, parking or access charges
  • Where to see their hygiene rating
  • Who provides plates and napkins

Choosing a Mexican caterer

Bloxham: your questions answered

Which station is closest to Bloxham?

Guests can use Banbury station, about 3.5 miles north-east of Bloxham.

Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of St Mary?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

What’s on the menu?

Mexican street food and drinks: tacos and build-your-own taco bars, burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas, with salsas, guacamole and toppings. We also run a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.

Do you have dairy-free options?

Yes, we can. Let us know your dairy-free numbers, and we will include them in the plan.

Is a taco bar right for a wedding?

A taco bar works well for a relaxed wedding breakfast. We fit it around your speeches and photos. Read our taco bar guide for ideas.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

We confirm that with your quote. Let us know what the venue supplies.

What should the venue provide?

Room for the table and a queue, plus a nearby place to unload. We confirm power and water when you book.

How much is a food truck for an event?

We quote for each event, based on what you actually need. Tell us your date and numbers and we will reply with a quote.

Planners, venues and businesses

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

Hosting a party at home? Send us a picture of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we’ll let you know if it is a good fit.

Prices and what affects them

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, because of:

  • What the venue already provides
  • How many staff you need
  • How many guests we’re serving
  • Parking and the route in

A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What we need to know

You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:

  • The venue or postcode
  • The date and rough timings
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children

Getting a quote is simple: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We will come back with a clear quote.

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
