Your questions about taco bar hire in Burdrop

Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of Holy Trinity?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Send us the reception address.

Do you set up taco bars indoors in places like Burdrop?

We can, as long as the venue agrees. The station needs room for a queue, and we need to park and unload close to the door.

Is the food made fresh?

We cook to order in our truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.

Do you come to Burdrop?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, and Burdrop is within our area and the rest of Oxfordshire. To check your date, fill in our quote form.

How many guests can a taco bar serve?

It depends on the event and the timings. As a guide, our bookings normally fall around 50 to 400 guests, so tell us your numbers.

Can you serve in the rain?

Rain does not generally stop service from the truck or trailer. It’s worth planning a covered area for guests, and tell us if heavy rain could make the ground soft.

What areas do you cover?

We cater across London and the South East, including Oxfordshire. See all areas.

Do you do a taco bar?

Yes, a taco bar is one of the ways we serve. Let us know your numbers and space and we’ll recommend how to serve.

How our taco bar hire works in Burdrop

We bring taco bars to events in and around Burdrop: from barns and marquees to gardens, halls and offices. It works well for garden parties and engagement and anniversary parties, serving slow-cooked fillings kept hot, warm corn and flour tortillas and fresh salsas.

Somewhere as small as Burdrop, a garden, barn or hall can host a taco bar. If lanes or soft ground stop the truck getting close, the station can be set up nearer your guests, as long as we can unload within a short walk. We prepare everything fresh for your event and serve it straight from our food truck or trailer.

Where the truck can go in Burdrop

We’ll be honest if a space will not work. What matters most:

  • A clear route from the vehicle to the serving spot
  • A clear area in front of the station
  • Permission from the venue for us to set up

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.

Prices and what affects them

Every event is priced individually, based on a few main things:

  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • The length of service
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Travel, parking and access

There’s no one-size-fits-all price for taco bar hire. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Your quote sets it all out.

What we need to know

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what’s useful:

  • Where the event is
  • What power and water the site has
  • The date and rough timings
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. When you’re ready, use our quote form.

What happens on the day

We arrive in good time before service, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. Guests come up to order when service opens. Around midsummer it stays light in Burdrop until about 9:30pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:10pm, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:55pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Tell us about your event and your guests.
  2. We send a sample spread and a quote.
  3. We check power, water and access with your venue.
  4. We set up the station and keep everything hot.
  5. Afterwards, we pack down and leave the area tidy.

Getting ready for the day

  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches
  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve

How it compares

A standard buffet often sits out cold. Our fillings stay hot and the bowls are topped up as guests come back. Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

Planners, venues and businesses

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we will talk you through the process. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, with allergen information for every dish.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
