Taco bar hire in Tadmarton, served fresh

A taco bar puts the whole spread on one table: tortillas kept warm, fillings kept hot, and bowls of salsa, guacamole and toppings. Each guest takes a plate and fills it their way. At leaving dos and company parties, we can serve slow-cooked fillings kept hot, warm corn and flour tortillas and pickled onions and toppings and more.

Near Tadmarton, a taco bar next to the truck in a field or garden works well. Let us know about the gate, the ground and the route in, and we confirm power and water arrangements before the day. Your quote sets out what’s included: the menu, the service time and any extras you choose.

What taco bar hire costs

Contact us for a quote, and the price is based on:

  • Timings and hours
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • How many staff you need

The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

What to tell us

Good planning starts with a few facts. Try to include:

  • A picture of where we’d park
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children

We quote for each event separately, based on what you need. For a quote, tell us about it on our contact page.

Planning the serving area

Access is the first thing to check for a truck or trailer. We look for:

  • Details of power and water near the bar
  • The venue’s or landowner’s agreement
  • Room nearby to park and unload our vehicle

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before booking.

Popular choices

  • Tortilla chips
  • Two to four fillings
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Vegan fillings

  • A clear list of what’s included
  • How many staff are serving, and for how long
  • Plates and napkins, or nothing at all

Questions to ask before booking

Taco bar hire or something else?

Pizza is the usual crowd-pleaser, but a taco bar gives guests more say over what they eat. Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you can choose what you need.

Why book with us

  • Catering across Oxfordshire, including Tadmarton
  • Allergen-aware menus
  • A menu agreed with you
  • A truck or trailer that comes to you

Read our prices page and our guide to catering costs.

Diets, allergies and planning

Nearly every event has some special diets. To cater well for them:

  • Tell us about coeliac guests specifically
  • Plan the taco bar around speeches and timings
  • Make sure one filling is vegan
  • Count children separately

Dishes are labelled, with allergen information available at the table.

Our truck or trailer can serve later in the day, after the taco bar, quoted with the rest.

How the day works

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. Rain does not generally stop us serving, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit. Daylight in Tadmarton runs to about 9:00pm in late May and 7:10pm in late September. If the taco bar is outdoors and runs later, tell us what lighting the venue has.

  1. Send us your date, where the taco bar will go, numbers and dietary needs.
  2. We plan the fillings and toppings with you and quote for them.
  3. We agree where the table goes and where our vehicle can unload.
  4. Our staff set up the station, keep the fillings hot and top up the bar through service.
  5. When service finishes, we clear the table and pack the vehicle.

Before we arrive

  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve

How to get a price

Not sure what you need yet? That is fine: give us the basics about your event, and we will make suggestions. When you’re ready, send a quick message through our quote form.

Questions from Tadmarton

Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of St Nicholas?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Do you set up taco bars indoors in places like Tadmarton?

Yes, with the venue’s permission. We need a short route from where we park to the room, and space for the station and a queue.

Can the taco bar cater for special diets?

Fillings and toppings sit in separate dishes, which helps with mixed diets, but we cannot promise an allergen-free kitchen. Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

What happens if it rains?

Rain doesn’t generally stop service from the truck or trailer. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

Is the taco bar staffed?

We set up and stay to keep the bar hot and stocked.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

That’s confirmed with each quote. Tell us whether your venue has crockery or you’d prefer disposables and we will talk it through.

Can guests build tacos at a wedding breakfast?

A taco bar makes a relaxed, sociable wedding meal. We fit it around your speeches and photos. Read our taco bar guide for ideas.

Which areas do you serve?

London and South East England: Greater London, Kent and Medway, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

Should I do it myself?

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.
