Taco bar hire in Chattenden

Taco bar hire in Chattenden, from our food truck or trailer

A taco bar suits mixed diets well, because every filling and topping sits in its own dish. There are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan choices, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests, plus allergen information for every dish. It suits anniversary parties and staff parties, serving slow-cooked fillings kept hot, fresh salsas and pickled onions and toppings.

Near Chattenden, a taco bar next to the truck in a field or garden works well. Let us know about the gate, the ground and the route in, and we confirm power and water arrangements before the day. You can book food, drinks or both, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

Why choose taco bar hire in Chattenden?

Plated meals depend on a kitchen and a team of waiting staff. A taco bar needs a serving spot, somewhere close to unload and the venue’s agreement, and power and water are confirmed with each booking. Got a budget? Let us know, and we will suggest a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.

Catering for every guest

Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Try these:

  • Tell us about coeliac guests specifically
  • Check where our vehicle can unload
  • Pick the spot for the taco bar in advance
  • Include a dietary question on your invitations

If the schedule slips, tell us and we’ll hold everything hot until you are ready.

Add burrito bowls for guests who’d rather skip tortillas.

Space, access and the venue

Many gardens, fields and venues can take a truck or trailer, but there are a few things to check:

  • A parking or loading spot near the serving area
  • The venue’s or landowner’s agreement
  • A flat spot for the taco-bar station

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise.

Popular choices

  • Vegan fillings
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Tortilla chips
  • Two to four fillings
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Salsas and guacamole

How the day works

Service is quick and friendly: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. When service ends, we pack down. In Chattenden, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:00pm in late September, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:50pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Start with the essentials: the date, venue, headcount and diets.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar spread and a quote.
  3. Together we fix the spot for the taco bar and a nearby place for our vehicle.
  4. On the day our staff lay out the bar and keep it stocked while guests build their tacos.
  5. After the last tacos, we clear the station away.

Preparing for the day

  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Tell us what power and water the site has

Planning help

Chattenden: your questions answered

Could you serve our guests after a service at Bishop Gundulph Church?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Lower Lines Park?

Only with permission from whoever runs the park, often the council. Check with them, and we will provide what they ask for from us.

Do you cover Chattenden?

Yes, we do. Chattenden is one of the places we cover. Send us your date to check availability.

What access do you need?

Access and level ground matter most: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. Send us a picture and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

Can guests build their own tacos?

Yes, a taco bar is one of our options. Tell us about your space and numbers and we’ll suggest the best set-up.

How does a taco bar work?

We set out warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings on a serving table, and each guest builds their own. Our staff keep it hot and topped up.

What if a vehicle can’t reach the serving spot?

The taco bar can be served from a table or station away from the truck. We still need to park our vehicle nearby to unload, and the venue’s agreement.

What should the venue provide?

Room for the table and a queue, plus a nearby place to unload. We confirm power and water when you book.

Working with your venue

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

If you’re booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.
