Taco bar hire in Rochester, served fresh

Taco bars suit wedding breakfasts, parties and office lunches alike. Building your own is quick, which keeps the line moving, and nobody waits long. At engagement and anniversary parties and milestone birthdays, we’ll put together a menu of pickled onions and toppings, burrito bowls and a build-your-own taco bar for your guests.

Not every garden in Rochester can be reached by a vehicle, which is where a taco bar helps: the truck stays on the drive or road, with permission, and the station goes in the garden. Tell us how far it is from the parking spot to the garden. You’ll know what’s included before you book: the menu, the service time and any extras you choose.

Working with your venue

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can check the date.

If you’re organising for someone else, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we will work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.

Diets, allergies and planning

We cater for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests. To make it work smoothly:

  • Have anyone with a severe allergy speak to us first
  • Flag any guest with coeliac disease
  • Have tables and seats ready for guests to eat at
  • Send us allergy details in writing

Once guests have eaten, we clear the table and pack up.

Our drinks bar can sit alongside the taco bar with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.

  • The venue’s agreement for the taco bar and our vehicle
  • A parking or loading spot near the serving area
  • Space for a serving table on level ground

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly.

Popular choices

  • Two to four fillings
  • Vegan fillings
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Tortilla chips

How the day works

Serving is quick: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. Afterwards we clear our area. Planning an evening taco bar in Rochester? Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May, 9:20pm at midsummer and 7:00pm in late September. After dusk, lights over the station help guests build their tacos.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. We plan the fillings and toppings with you and quote for them.
  3. We agree where the table goes and where our vehicle can unload.
  4. Our staff set up the station, keep the fillings hot and top up the bar through service.
  5. When service finishes, we clear the table and pack the vehicle.

How to prepare

  • Tell us when you want service to start
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers

FAQs for Rochester

Is it possible to have you in Broomhill Park?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we’ll send what they need from us.

Which station should guests use for Rochester?

Rochester station, in Rochester itself.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We pack down and leave our area tidy. Tell us the venue’s rules on waste and clearing up and we’ll talk it through.

What do you need at the venue?

Send us details of the venue and where you’d like the bar, and we will confirm what’s needed. We also need the venue’s permission.

What does a taco bar cost?

There is no price list, because no two events are the same. Share your plans and you will get a quote. Our guide to Mexican catering costs may help.

What if a vehicle can’t reach the serving spot?

The taco bar can sit next to the truck or trailer, or in a spot of its own. Either way, we need to unload nearby and have the venue’s permission.

How spicy is the food?

The food can be kept mild, with hotter salsas on the side for anyone who wants more heat.

Do you stay to run the taco bar?

We run the station ourselves, so your hosts don’t need to. We pack it away afterwards.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

Why choose taco bar hire in Rochester?

Sandwich platters are convenient but forgettable. A hot taco bar gives guests something to gather round. The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we will quote.
