About our taco bar hire in Cuxton

We bring taco bars to events in and around Cuxton: marquees, barns, gardens, halls and workplaces, wherever there’s room for the table. We serve guacamole, burrito bowls and slow-cooked fillings kept hot, and it’s a good fit for leaving dos and staff parties.

Somewhere as small as Cuxton, a garden, barn or hall can host a taco bar. If the truck can’t get close, we can set the station up nearer your guests, as long as we can unload within a short walk. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

Cuxton questions

Do you come out to small places like Cuxton?

Yes, we cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Baty's Marsh?

Only with permission from whoever runs the park, often the council. Ask them first, and we will help with the information they need from us.

Do you have vegan options?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote.

What if the weather’s bad?

Rain does not normally stop service from the truck or trailer. It’s worth planning a covered area for guests, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

What is a build-your-own taco bar?

Guests take a plate and fill their tortillas from the dishes on the bar. Our staff look after the bar throughout.

How spicy is the food?

That’s your choice: we can keep it mild and put the hotter salsas on the side.

Where do you cater?

We cover London and the South East, Medway included. See all areas.

Can you do dairy-free food?

We can. We offer dairy-free options, and we will tell you which dishes contain milk.

For planners, venues and organisers

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Cuxton? Service from a truck or trailer is quick, even for a crowd, and the menu can suit most diets. Tell us about the event and we’ll suggest a menu.

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

Cuxton: venues, access and set-up

Cuxton is about 2 miles south-west of Rochester, in Medway. From the centre of Cuxton to the outskirts, we offer the same service: fresh service from our truck or trailer, every diet planned for and a clear quote. We cater in 68 places across Medway, from the larger towns to small villages, wherever the truck or trailer can get in. We cater right across the region, from Cuxton to Maidstone (8 miles away).

Thinking of a taco bar in Baty's Marsh? Catering in a public park generally needs the landowner’s permission, so check first. Local halls and clubs near Cuxton can host a taco bar if your own space is small, as long as we can unload nearby.

Anywhere in ME2, we can bring the truck or trailer to your guests. From Station Road, Charles Drive and James Road or anywhere nearby, we can bring taco bar hire there, given access. We also serve at events in Lower Bush (1 mile west), North Halling (1 mile south-west), Upper Bush (1 mile west), Borstal (1 mile east) and Halling (2 miles south). Further out, we also cater in Gillingham (5 miles east), Chatham (4 miles east), Rainham (7 miles east), Luton (4 miles east), Park Wood (7 miles east) and Lordswood (5 miles south-east).

Who books taco bar hire in Cuxton?

It gets people talking: guests compare fillings and swap topping ideas as they go.

A truck or trailer works for big and small events alike. Typical bookings include:

  • Birthday parties
  • Anniversary parties
  • Marquee parties
  • Family get-togethers

By rail: Cuxton station is in Cuxton itself.

What your quote should include

  • The venue requirements
  • Plates and napkins, or nothing at all
  • Allergen information for each dish
  • The deadline for final numbers

How to compare caterers

Should I do it myself?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

What’s on the menu

Hot fillings

You might choose two or three fillings, including a vegan one. You choose them with us.

Guacamole

Guacamole made fresh, with lime and coriander.

Comparing your options

A taco bar and a truck serve the same food in different ways. At the hatch, we make each order; at the bar, guests build their own. What’s on the menu makes a difference to the total, so share your ideas with us. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

The process

When we arrive, we park the truck or trailer in the agreed spot and set up. Service starts at the time we have agreed, so everything runs to your schedule. Evenings in Cuxton stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:00pm. Once it gets dark, guests need to see what they’re adding to their tacos.

  1. Start with your date, venue and guest numbers.
  2. Together we choose what goes on the bar.
  3. We confirm the table spot and where we’ll unload.
  4. Our staff set out the bar and guests build their own tacos.
  5. When everyone has eaten, we pack up.

What affects the price in Cuxton

Your quote will be clear. The main things that affect it are:

  • Parking and the route in
  • Serving staff
  • Guest numbers
  • What the venue already provides

The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.

What we need to know

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • Roughly how many adults and children

Send us the date, your venue or ME2 postcode and guest numbers, plus any dietary needs, and you will get menu ideas and a price. To get started, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Planning for every diet

Most events have a mix of diets. To plan for them:

  • Make sure guests have somewhere to sit
  • Ask guests about diets and allergies on the RSVP
  • Decide where the table goes before the day
  • Have anyone with a severe allergy speak to us first

Indoors or under cover, the bar carries on whatever the weather, so plan somewhere sheltered if you can.

Loaded nachos make a good starter while the bar is set up.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
