How our taco bar hire works in Enslow

A taco bar suits mixed diets well, as fillings and toppings are kept in separate dishes. We plan vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free choices, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests, plus allergen information for every dish. It suits garden parties and wedding meals, with slow-cooked fillings kept hot, fresh salsas and guacamole.

Somewhere as small as Enslow, a garden, barn or hall can host a taco bar. If the truck can’t get close, we can set the station up nearer your guests, though we still need to unload within a short walk. Everything is prepared fresh for your event and served from our truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

FAQs for Enslow

We are having a ceremony at Church of Holy Cross: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Send us the reception address.

Which station should guests use for Enslow?

Tackley station, about 1.5 miles north of the centre.

Do you cater in Enslow?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, and Enslow is within our area. For a quote, fill in our quote form.

Can you serve in the rain?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.

When do you arrive?

We arrive in good time to set up before service. The length of service is agreed when you book.

How do you handle dietary needs at the taco bar?

We plan vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free choices, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests. Allergen information is available for every dish.

Can you plan for allergies?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, and give allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we can’t promise anything is completely allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

Do you do parties at home?

It depends on access. A drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission, if the garden itself is out of reach. Send us a photo and we will talk it through.

Catering for every guest

Every guest is catered for, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free included. To get it right:

  • Set out seating near the bar
  • Put allergies in writing for us
  • Collect dietary needs with your replies
  • Ask the venue where we can park to unload

Indoors or under cover, the bar carries on whatever the weather, so plan somewhere sheltered if you can.

Our drinks bar can sit alongside the taco bar for margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.

Can I do a taco night myself?

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

The process

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. We can serve in the rain, but guests will need somewhere covered. Daylight in Enslow runs to about 9:00pm in late May and 7:10pm in late September. Let us know if an outdoor station will run after dark, and we will talk about lighting.

  1. Send us the date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan the fillings, salsas and toppings with you.
  3. We confirm the table spot and where we will unload.
  4. On the day, guests help themselves while we keep the bar stocked.
  5. We clear the bar away after service.

Getting ready for the day

  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers

Fresh salsas, from a mild tomato salsa to something hotter, made for your event.

How we price taco bar hire

These are the factors that matter most:

  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • What the venue already provides
  • The number of people
  • Your choice of food and drinks

A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.
