Taco bar hire in Fairlight Cove, from our food truck or trailer

With a taco bar, everything is laid out in one place: tortillas kept warm, fillings kept hot, and bowls of salsa, guacamole and toppings. Each guest takes a plate and fills it their way. At birthday parties and marquee parties, we can serve slow-cooked fillings kept hot, pickled onions and toppings and guacamole and more.

For a rural spot like Fairlight Cove, a taco bar beside the truck in a field or garden is a simple set-up. Let us know about the gate, the ground and the route in, and we will confirm power and water with you. You can book food, drinks or both, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

Questions from Fairlight Cove

Which station is closest to Fairlight Cove?

Guests can use Three Oaks station, about 2.9 miles north-west of Fairlight Cove.

Do you set up taco bars indoors in places like Fairlight Cove?

Yes, with the venue’s permission. Tell us about the parking, the doors and the space for the station.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We clear our own area when service is finished. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

How much does taco bar hire cost?

We quote for each taco bar, depending on guests, menu, venue and timings. For a price, tell us about it on our contact page.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, with allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we can’t promise anything is completely allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

What space does a taco bar need?

Tell us about the venue and the spot you have in mind, and we will confirm what’s needed. The venue’s agreement is needed too.

Do you do parties at home?

That depends on access. If the truck or trailer cannot reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Send us a photo and we will talk it through.

How soon do we need to book?

As soon as you have a date. Popular dates go first, so contact us early.

A build-your-own taco bar in Fairlight Cove

Fairlight Cove is about 4 miles east of Hastings, in East Sussex. Across the TN35 area, we’ll come to your venue or site. Fairlight Cove is one of 289 towns and villages in East Sussex where we can bring taco bar hire. Our truck and trailer cover the area from Fairlight Cove to Royal Tunbridge Wells (25 miles away).

Guests leaving a church like St Peter could head to a nearby hall or garden where the taco bar is ready. The coast is within about 4 miles of Fairlight Cove, so for a seaside taco bar we plan around the wind. A sheltered spot for the station helps, and seafront sites normally need permission.

This part of East Sussex takes in TN35. Whether your event is on Market Garden, Smugglers Way and Stock Dale or anywhere nearby, we can bring taco bar hire there, given access. For events just outside Fairlight Cove, we cover Fairlight (1 mile west), Pett (1 mile north), Friar's Hill (1 mile north-west), Guestling Green (2 miles north-west) and Guestling (2 miles north-west). Larger places within reach include Hastings (4 miles west), Bexhill-on-Sea (9 miles west), St Leonards (5 miles west), Hastings Old Town (3 miles west), Belmont (3 miles west) and Hollington (5 miles west).

A little further out are Conquest Hospital (4.3 miles west) and Hastings Old Town Hall Museum (3.5 miles west).

DIY taco night versus a caterer

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.

How the day works

When service finishes, we pack down and clear our own area. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. In Fairlight Cove, the sun sets at about 9:15pm in late June and about 7:00pm in late September, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is generally served in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar spread and a quote.
  3. Before the day, we confirm the serving spot, unloading, power and water with the venue.
  4. On the day our staff lay out the bar and keep it stocked while guests build their tacos.
  5. After the last tacos, we clear the station away.

How to prepare

  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
  • Find out what power and water are available

How we price taco bar hire

These are the factors that matter most:

  • How many guests we’re serving
  • What the venue already provides
  • The menu you choose
  • How long we’re needed on site

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Contact us for a quote and we’ll set out what’s included.

Getting an accurate quote

Good planning starts with a few facts. Try to include:

  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Where the event is

Send us the date, your venue or TN35 postcode and guest numbers, along with any dietary needs, and we’ll reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. Just send a quick message through our quote form.

Dietary needs and planning tips

With a little notice, most diets are easy. Our advice:

  • Ask guests about diets and allergies on the RSVP
  • Choose at least one vegan filling
  • Flag any guest with coeliac disease
  • Tell us when guests should eat

Indoors or under cover, the bar carries on whatever the weather, so plan somewhere sheltered if you can.

Extra salsas, from mild to hot, let guests choose their own heat.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
