You choose the fillings with us, such as pork carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, with a vegan filling like black bean and sweet potato or spiced mushroom. 4. On the day, guests help themselves while we keep the bar stocked.

Taco bars for events across East Sussex

Across East Sussex’s 10 towns and 240 villages and hamlets, a taco bar suits indoor and outdoor events alike. Town venues mean planning loading; rural ones mean planning access and ground. Parts of East Sussex are within a few miles of the High Weald National Landscape and the South Downs National Park, so check venue rules on vehicles, ground and access for countryside events. 106 of the places we cover in East Sussex are within about 6 miles of the sea, where we plan for the wind at seaside events.

Eastbourne: By rail: Hampden Park station is about 0.7 miles away. By road, Eastbourne is on or near the A22 and A259, so bringing the taco bar and our food truck or trailer is straightforward. Planning an evening taco bar in Eastbourne? Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May, 9:15pm at midsummer and 7:00pm in late September. After dusk, lights over the station help guests build their tacos.

Diets, allergies and planning

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. Our advice:

  • Collect dietary needs with your replies
  • Tell us when guests should eat
  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Put allergies in writing for us

We arrive with time to unload and set the bar up before guests eat.

Loaded nachos make a good starter while the bar is set up.

Who books taco bar hire?

The bar becomes a meeting point: guests compare fillings and swap topping ideas as they go.

If you are planning any of these, we can help:

  • Anniversary parties
  • Evening wedding receptions
  • Leaving dos
  • Team lunches

What affects the price in East Sussex

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, because of:

  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • The number of people

Larger events can cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

What to tell us

You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but it helps to know:

  • The venue or postcode
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground

Not sure what you need yet? No problem: give us the basics about your event, and we will make suggestions. To start, send a quick message through our quote form.

What we need at the venue

Plenty of outdoor spaces and venues work for us, but there are a few things to check:

  • A spot next to the truck or trailer when both are booked
  • Power and water, which we confirm when you book
  • A sheltered spot if we are serving outside

For event organisers in East Sussex

For larger events, we plan serving points around your timings, so guests are looked after quickly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

Events in public spaces, like parks, usually need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

Common questions in East Sussex

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes, we can. Tell us how many guests need dairy-free food, and we will plan the menu around them.

When should we book?

Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Even if it is short notice, it’s worth asking.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We pack down and leave our area tidy. Tell us the venue’s rules on waste and clearing up and we will talk it through.

Does the taco bar need the truck on site?

It can go beside the truck or trailer, or somewhere a vehicle cannot reach. Either way, we need to unload nearby and have the venue’s permission.

Is the food made fresh?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. Tortillas are warmed on site, and salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Do you do parties at home?

That depends on access. A drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission, if the garden itself is out of reach. Tell us about the space and we’ll advise.

What do you need at the venue?

Access and level ground matter most: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. Send us a picture and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.
