About our taco bar hire in Fawler

We can serve the taco bar next to the truck or trailer, or as a separate station. If the truck cannot get to the spot, we park close by, unload and carry the bar in, with the venue’s agreement. It suits company parties and birthday celebrations, with fresh salsas, slow-cooked fillings kept hot and burrito bowls.

Near Fawler, a marquee or barn makes a good home for a taco bar. Our staff set up the station and run it through service; tell us about access and parking. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so the food and drinks can come from one caterer.

How the day works

We work to your timings. If things run behind, let us know and we will adjust where we can. Around midsummer it stays light in Fawler until about 9:30pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:10pm, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. We plan the fillings and toppings with you and quote for them.
  3. Before the day, we confirm the serving spot, unloading, power and water with the venue.
  4. Our staff set up the station, keep the fillings hot and top up the bar through service.
  5. Once guests have eaten, we take down the bar and leave the spot tidy.

Preparing for the day

  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.

  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Two to four fillings
  • Tortilla chips

Should I do it myself?

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label anything containing allergens.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, with allergen information for every dish.

Fawler questions

How far is Fawler from London?

It is about 63 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Do you set up taco bars indoors in places like Fawler?

We can, as long as the venue agrees. The station needs room for a queue, and we need to park and unload close to the door.

Do you need power and water?

It depends on the event and the set-up, so we confirm power and water arrangements with each booking. Tell us what’s available at your venue.

Do you cover Fawler?

Yes, we do. Fawler is one of the places we cover. Tell us your date and we’ll check availability.

What areas do you cover?

London and South East England: Greater London, Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire.

Can you serve in the rain?

Rain does not typically stop service from the truck or trailer. It is worth planning a covered area for guests, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

Is the food made fresh?

We cook to order in our food truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.

What access do you need?

A level, firm spot for the truck or trailer, with access wide and high enough to drive in, plus the venue’s permission. Power and water arrangements are confirmed with each booking.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Mixed diets are straightforward to plan for, because options can be kept separate. A few tips:

  • Have tables and seats ready for guests to eat at
  • Let us know about anyone who is coeliac
  • Count children separately
  • Pick the spot for the taco bar in advance

Each dish is labelled, and allergen information is kept at the bar.

Extra salsas, from mild to hot, let guests choose their own heat.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
