Planning the serving area

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We need:

  • The venue’s agreement for the taco bar and our vehicle
  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
  • A spot next to the truck or trailer when both are booked

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before you book.

Taco bar hire in Harestock, served fresh

We bring taco bars to events in and around Harestock: from barns and marquees to gardens, halls and offices, wherever there is room for the table. At team socials and back-garden gatherings, we will put together a menu of warm corn and flour tortillas, fresh salsas and guacamole and more.

For a place the size of Harestock, a garden or a hall nearby can suit a taco bar. We set up and run the station, and guests choose their own fillings and toppings. Tell us where we can park and unload. Access, space and power are agreed with you beforehand, so set-up goes smoothly.

The process

We work to your timings. If speeches run late or the photos take longer, let us know and we’ll adjust where we can. In Harestock, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 4:00pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Begin with the date and headcount.
  2. We agree a menu that covers every diet.
  3. Nearer the date, we confirm timings and the serving spot.
  4. The bar opens at the agreed time.
  5. Once service is over, we pack away.

Getting ready for the day

  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Find out what power and water are available

Your questions about taco bar hire in Harestock

Which station is closest to Harestock?

Guests can use Winchester station, about 1.2 miles south-east of Harestock.

We’re having a ceremony at Saint Barnabas: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Is the food made fresh?

Food is cooked to order in our truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.

What happens if it rains?

We can keep serving from the truck or trailer in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.

What space does a taco bar need?

Send us details of the venue and where you’d like the bar, and we will confirm what’s needed. We also need the venue’s permission.

What do you need at the venue?

A level, firm spot for the truck or trailer, with access wide and high enough to drive in, and the venue’s agreement. We confirm power and water with you for each booking.

What about power on site?

That depends on the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Tell us what’s available at your venue.

What do you serve?

Mexican street food and drinks: tacos and build-your-own taco bars, burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas, with salsas, guacamole and toppings. A drinks bar is available too, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.

If you are booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll talk you through the process. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

Diets, allergies and planning

We cater for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests. To get it right:

  • Send us allergy details in writing
  • Flag any guest with coeliac disease
  • Pick the spot for the taco bar in advance
  • Fit the bar into your running order

Once guests have eaten, we clear the table and pack up.

Loaded nachos make a good starter while the bar is set up.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label anything containing allergens.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.

Taco bar hire or something else?

A plated wedding breakfast needs a kitchen, waiting staff and fixed courses. A taco bar needs a serving spot, somewhere close to unload and the venue’s agreement, with power and water confirmed when you book. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.
