Taco bar hire near Heart's Delight

Taco bar hire in Heart's Delight, served fresh

We can serve the taco bar next to the truck or trailer, or as a separate station. Where a vehicle can’t reach the serving spot, we unload nearby and set the table up there, with the venue’s agreement. On the menu are warm corn and flour tortillas, burrito bowls and a build-your-own taco bar, and it suits birthday celebrations and wedding meals.

In a small place like Heart's Delight, a taco bar might go in a garden, a barn or a nearby hall. If lanes or soft ground stop the truck getting close, the station can be set up nearer your guests, though we still need to unload within a short walk. We’ll check the space, access and power with you before the day, so there are no surprises on arrival.

From set-up to service, we look after everything you’ve booked from us, so you can enjoy your event. Daylight in Heart's Delight runs to about 8:45pm in late May and 7:00pm in late September. Let us know if an outdoor station will run after dark, and we will talk about lighting.

  1. Send us your date, where the taco bar will go, numbers and dietary needs.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar spread and a quote.
  3. Before the day, we confirm the serving spot, unloading, power and water with the venue.
  4. We set out warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas and toppings, and guests help themselves.
  5. Once guests have eaten, we take down the bar and leave the spot tidy.

Planning for every diet

Mixed diets are straightforward to plan for, because guests can choose what suits them. A few tips:

  • Decide where the table goes before the day
  • Ask guests about diets and allergies on the RSVP
  • Confirm any allergies to us by email
  • Choose at least one vegan filling

Dishes are labelled, with allergen information available at the table.

For larger groups, ask about a second serving point.

Perfect for your event in Heart's Delight

Vegans, vegetarians and gluten-free guests eat from the same table.

These are some of the occasions we serve:

  • Working lunches
  • Wedding breakfasts
  • Anniversary parties
  • Leaving dos

If you’re celebrating after a service at a church like Church of St John the Baptist, a hall close by could host a staffed taco bar, with the venue’s permission.

Taco bars for events around Heart's Delight

Heart's Delight is about 6 miles north of Hawkinge, in Kent. From the centre of Heart's Delight to the outskirts, we offer the same service: fresh service from our truck or trailer, every diet planned for and a clear quote. Heart's Delight is one of 922 towns and villages in Kent where we can bring taco bar hire. We cater right across the region, from Heart's Delight to Canterbury (about 6 miles away).

Nearby historic houses include Acrise Place (4.4 miles south) and Goodnestone Park (4.5 miles north-east). Historic venues often limit where vehicles can go, so ask whether a taco bar station could be set up inside while our food truck or trailer parks further off. Guests arriving without a car will want to know that the nearest station is Snowdown station, about 2.9 miles east. With the Kent Downs National Landscape about 4 miles away at most, a countryside taco bar is an option from Heart's Delight. Rural venues may limit vehicles, so ask where we can park and unload.

Taco bar hire in CT4 is planned around your venue and access and timings. Your event could be at a home on South Barham Road, Green Hills and Railway Hill. Should I do it myself?

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

Heart's Delight questions

Can the taco bar go in a local hall rather than outside?

Yes, if the venue allows outside caterers. Tell us about the parking, the doors and the space for the station.

Could you serve in Jumping Downs?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Check with them, and we’ll provide what they ask for from us.

Can we have a build-your-own taco bar?

Yes, a taco bar is one of the ways we serve. Tell us about your space and numbers and we will suggest the best set-up.

Can you plan for allergies?

Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. Under UK rules, caterers must give information on 14 allergens, and we give it for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

Truck and trailer service generally suits around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case. Tell us your numbers.

How long do you serve for?

It depends on your event. We agree arrival, service and pack-down times with you so everything fits your schedule.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, we offer a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Alcohol at an event may need a licence, such as a premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice, so we’ll go through the licensing with you.

What do you need at the venue?

The main things are access and a level spot: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. Send us a picture and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

  • Space for a line of guests at the bar
  • Room for the bar alongside the vehicle, if booked together
  • Details of power and water near the bar

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly.

Prices and what affects them

Your quote will be clear. What affects it most:

  • What’s on the menu
  • Whether you need disposables
  • The number of people
  • How long we are needed on site

The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, along with extras and where your event is. We quote for each event individually.

Details that help

You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:

  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Where the event is
  • What power and water the site has
  • Roughly how many adults and children

The quickest way to a quote is to use our quote form. Give us the details of your event, and we will suggest a menu to suit.

Is taco bar hire right for your event?

If you want food that feels sociable but still well run, a taco bar is a strong choice for your event. Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.
