Taco bar hire near Hound

Taco bar hire in Hound, from our truck or trailer

The bar can stand beside our food truck or trailer, or on its own. If the truck cannot get to the spot, we park close by, unload and carry the bar in, as long as the venue agrees. For summer garden parties and retirement parties, we can serve guacamole, burrito bowls and pickled onions and toppings for your guests.

In a hamlet or village like Hound, a barn or marquee can shelter a taco bar from the weather. Our staff set up the station and run it through service. Timings are planned around your event, whether that is speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

Planning a taco bar in Hound

Hound is about 3 miles east of Hythe, in Hampshire. We bring taco bar hire to gardens, halls and venues around Hound and the surrounding area. We cater in 683 places in Hampshire, from the larger towns to small villages, wherever the truck or trailer can get in.

Historic houses near Hound include Medieval Merchant's House (3.4 miles north-west) and Southampton Tudor House and Garden (3.5 miles north-west). Estates and listed houses set their own rules for caterers, so check where a taco bar station and our vehicle would be permitted before you book. Guests leaving a church like Church of St Mary could head to a nearby hall or garden where the taco bar is ready. With the New Forest National Park about 7 miles away at most, a countryside taco bar is an option from Hound. Rural venues may limit vehicles, so ask where we can park and unload. The coast is within about 2 miles of Hound, so for a seaside taco bar we plan around the wind. A sheltered spot for the station helps, and seafront sites usually need permission.

We serve at events all over the SO31 postcode area and the streets around it. Local streets include Hound Road, Hound Road Gardens and Hound Close; for an event at home on any of them, tell us where the truck or trailer can park. DIY taco night or a caterer?

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

Common questions in Hound

Is Hound close to London?

It is about 69 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Could you serve in Westwood Woodland Park?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we will send what they need from us.

Do you cover Hound?

We do. Hound is one of the places we cover. Send us your date to check availability.

Are plates and napkins included?

Please ask us. Let us know what you already have, and we will set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

Do you do a taco bar?

We can. A build-your-own taco bar can be served from the truck or a serving station, with fillings, salsas and toppings to choose from.

How much is a food truck for an event?

We quote for each event, based on what you actually need. Give us your date, numbers and menu ideas for a clear quote.

Can you set up where a truck cannot get in?

The taco bar can sit next to the truck or trailer, or in a spot of its own. Either way, we need to unload nearby and have the venue’s permission.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Yes, and it helps to hear about allergies when you book. UK law requires caterers to provide information on 14 allergens, and we give it for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.

How the day works

When we arrive, we park the truck or trailer in the agreed spot and set up. Service starts at the time we’ve agreed, planned around your event. Evenings in Hound stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:10pm. After dusk, lights over the station help guests build their tacos.

  1. Send us the date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan the fillings, salsas and toppings with you.
  3. The venue confirms where the bar goes and where we park.
  4. Our staff set out the bar and guests build their own tacos.
  5. We clear the bar away after service.

Planning help

Catering for every guest

Every guest is catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free included. To get it right:

  • Check where our vehicle can unload
  • Plan the taco bar around speeches and timings
  • Set out seating near the bar
  • Ask guests with severe allergies to contact us before the day

Indoors or under cover, the bar carries on whatever the weather.

Ask us whether a second station would help with big numbers, quoted for your event.

Where the truck can go in Hound

Everything is served from our food truck or trailer, so where we park matters. These are the things we check:

  • A short, clear path for carrying the bar in
  • Space beside the truck or trailer if you’re booking both
  • A clear area in front of the station

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before you book.

What we offer

  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Two to four fillings
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Tortilla chips
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Vegan fillings
