Taco bar hire in Hunston, served fresh

For a bigger spread, burrito bowls, nachos or quesadillas can sit alongside the tacos. Margaritas and aguas frescas from our drinks bar can be added, with licensing checked with you. On the menu are a build-your-own taco bar, burrito bowls and guacamole, which works well for barn parties and company parties.

For a rural spot like Hunston, a taco bar beside the truck in a field or garden is a simple set-up. Let us know about the gate, the ground and the route in, and we confirm power and water arrangements before the day. We’ll check the space, access and power with you before the day, so set-up goes smoothly.

How it compares

A plated wedding breakfast needs a kitchen, waiting staff and fixed courses. A taco bar needs a serving spot, somewhere close to unload and the venue’s agreement, and power and water are confirmed with each booking. The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, plus any add-ons and the location. Every event gets its own quote.

What you get with us

  • Every guest catered for, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free included
  • Tacos, burritos and a drinks bar
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch
  • Fast service, even with a queue

Questions from Hunston

Which station should guests use for Hunston?

The closest is Chichester station, roughly 1.5 miles away.

Do you come out to small places like Hunston?

Yes, small places are no problem, given access. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Let us know how many vegetarian and vegan guests to expect, and we will keep their options separate.

Do you cover Hunston?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, including Hunston and the rest of West Sussex. For a quote, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, with allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we can’t promise anything is completely allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

Where do you cater?

London and the South East: Greater London, Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire, including Hunston.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

We can, using corn tortillas. Corn tortillas are naturally gluten-free, but some fillings, sauces and toppings may not be, so we check every dish and give allergen information.

What happens if it rains?

Rain doesn’t typically stop service from the truck or trailer. It is worth planning a covered area for guests, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

Why choose taco bar hire in Hunston?

Guests on special diets don’t need a separate meal.

These are some of the occasions we serve:

  • Team lunches
  • Team socials
  • Summer garden parties
  • Birthday parties

If people are travelling in by rail, the nearest station is Chichester station, about 1.5 miles north.

How to compare caterers

Diets, allergies and planning

We cater for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests. To get it right:

  • Let us know about anyone who is coeliac
  • Confirm a loading spot close to the bar
  • Ensure guests have somewhere to sit
  • Plan the taco bar around speeches and timings

We warm tortillas in batches and keep the fillings hot.

Extra salsas, from mild to hot, let guests choose their own heat.

How it works

We need a level, firm spot we can drive the truck or trailer onto, with power and water arrangements agreed beforehand. A photo of the space helps. In Hunston, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 4:00pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar spread and a quote.
  3. We agree where the table goes and where our vehicle can unload.
  4. On the day our staff lay out the bar and keep it stocked while guests build their tacos.
  5. After the last tacos, we clear the station away.

How to prepare

  • Let us know who to talk to on the day
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
  • Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat

How to get a price

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.

Hot fillings

Fillings cooked ahead and kept hot, perhaps chicken tinga, birria or carnitas.

Taco bar hire in Hunston: local tips

Hunston is about 2 miles south of Chichester, in West Sussex. Tell us where your event in Hunston will be, and we will plan access and set-up. Hunston is one of 371 towns and villages in West Sussex where we can bring taco bar hire.

When the service is at a church such as St Leodegar's Church, the taco bar would be set up at the reception venue rather than the church. Nearby historic houses include Goodwood House (4.5 miles north). Estates and listed houses set their own rules for caterers, so check where a taco bar station and our vehicle would be permitted before you book. With the sea within about 5 miles, a taco bar at a coastal venue is an option. Open toppings and a sea breeze do not mix, so a sheltered or indoor spot is best.

Taco bar hire in PO20 is planned around your venue and access and your guests. That could mean an event at a home with a drive on Heath Close, Westlands Road and St Leodegars Way. Other places close to Hunston for taco bar hire include Donnington (1 mile west), North Mundham (1 mile east), Runcton (1 mile east), Portfield (2 miles north) and Chichester (2 miles north). Within a short drive, we also cover Bognor Regis (4 miles east), Selsey (5 miles south), Littlehampton (11 miles east), Emsworth (8 miles west), Rustington (12 miles east) and Angmering (13 miles east).

Well-known places in the area include St Richard's Hospital (2.3 miles north) and Chichester Castle (2 miles north).

  • Nearby schools include Chichester High School For Girls (1.4 miles north) and Chichester Free School (1.4 miles north-east)
  • Pubs nearby include The Spotted Cow Public House (less than half a mile north-east)

Planning the serving area

Access is the first thing to check for a truck or trailer. We look for:

  • Shelter from rain and sun for an outdoor bar
  • The venue’s agreement for the taco bar and our vehicle
  • A clear route from the vehicle to the serving spot

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before you book.

What we offer

  • Vegan fillings
  • Tortilla chips
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Two to four fillings
  • Salsas and guacamole
