Taco bar hire for Langley events

Catering for every guest

Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Here’s how:

  • Ask guests about diets and allergies on the RSVP
  • Count children separately
  • Make sure one filling is vegan
  • Send us allergy details in writing

We get there early enough to unload, lay out the table and heat everything through.

Extra salsas, from mild to hot, let guests choose their own heat.

Taco bar hire for your event in Langley

We run the taco bar ourselves: warming tortillas, keeping fillings hot and refilling the salsas as they go. Your hosts can stay with their guests. For summer garden parties and evening wedding receptions, we can serve slow-cooked fillings kept hot, a build-your-own taco bar and fresh salsas for your guests.

Near Langley, a taco bar next to the truck in a field or garden works well. Let us know about the gate, the ground and the route in, and we confirm power and water arrangements before the day. We arrive ready to serve, and clear our own area when service is finished.

What we need at the venue

We will be honest if a space won’t work, and help find another spot. What matters most:

  • Details of power and water near the bar
  • A flat spot for the taco-bar station
  • Room for guests to queue along the table

If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.

Menu ideas

  • Vegan fillings
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Tortilla chips
  • Two to four fillings

The process

We need a level, firm spot we can drive the truck or trailer onto, and we agree power and water arrangements before the day. Send us a picture of the space if you’re unsure. In Langley, the sun sets at about 9:15pm in late June and about 7:00pm in late September, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is usually served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:50pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Get in touch with your date and headcount.
  2. We agree a menu that covers every diet.
  3. We fix timings with you and the venue.
  4. The bar opens at the agreed time.
  5. Once service is over, we pack away.

Before we arrive

  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park

How we price taco bar hire

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, because of:

  • Parking and the route in
  • The length of service
  • What’s on the menu
  • How many guests we are serving

If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we will suggest a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.

Getting an accurate quote

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what’s useful:

  • Expected numbers
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Your menu ideas
  • The date and rough timings

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, plus any dietary needs, and you’ll get menu ideas and a price. To get started, send a quick message through our quote form.

Questions from Langley

We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Mary: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Send us the reception address.

Do you come out to small places like Langley?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

What should the venue provide?

Tell us about the venue and the spot you have in mind, and we’ll confirm what’s needed. We also need the venue’s permission.

How much is a taco bar?

We don’t publish set prices, as each booking is different. Send us your details and we will quote for your event. See what Mexican catering costs for background.

How spicy is the food?

We can keep it mild, and hotter salsas go on the side for guests who like heat.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes, with corn tortillas. Corn is naturally gluten-free, though some sauces and toppings can contain gluten, so we check every dish and give allergen information.

How many guests can you serve?

Our truck and trailer service generally suits events of around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Tell us your numbers.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

That is confirmed with each quote. Let us know what the venue supplies.

For event organisers in Langley

Hosting a party at home? Send a photo of the space and tell us about access, and we will let you know if it’s a good fit.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

About the menu

Warm tortillas

Every taco starts with a warm tortilla. We warm them as the bar needs them through service.

Toppings

Lime, coriander, pickled onions, cheese and crema, agreed with you.

Should I do it myself?

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.
