Taco bar hire in Warmlake, served fresh

The toppings are where guests get creative: lime wedges, coriander, pickled onions, cheese and crema, depending on the menu you choose. On the menu are a build-your-own taco bar, burrito bowls and slow-cooked fillings kept hot, and it suits barn parties and wedding day food.

In a small place like Warmlake, a taco bar might go in a garden, a barn or a nearby hall. If lanes or soft ground stop the truck getting close, the station can be set up nearer your guests, as long as we can unload within a short walk. Timings are planned around your event, whether that is speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

Working with your venue

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Hosting a party at home? Send us a picture of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we will tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.

Planning the serving area

We’ll be honest if a space will not work. The main points are:

  • A sheltered spot if we are serving outside
  • Space beside the truck or trailer if you are booking both
  • Room nearby to park and unload our vehicle

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.

Vegan fillings

A vegan filling sits on the bar with the rest, not an afterthought.

Can I do a taco night myself?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Who books taco bar hire in Warmlake?

It’s informal but still feels looked after, because our staff keep the bar tidy and topped up.

Whatever you are celebrating in Warmlake, the serving truck can be a highlight. We can cater:

  • Wedding day food
  • Retirement parties
  • Birthday parties
  • Family get-togethers

When the service is at a church such as Church of St Michael, the taco bar would be set up at the reception venue rather than the church.

Questions from Warmlake

Do you come to events in the Kent Downs National Landscape?

We do, where the venue allows a catering vehicle. Lanes can be narrow and ground soft, so tell us how we’d get in.

How far is Warmlake from central London?

Roughly 35 miles from the centre of London, and well within our area.

When do you arrive?

We arrive in good time to set up before service. Serving times are agreed with you in advance.

Is the food made fresh?

We cook to order in our food truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.

Can you do gluten-free food?

We can, using corn tortillas. Corn is naturally gluten-free, though some sauces and toppings can contain gluten, so we plan gluten-free dishes carefully and give allergen information.

Can guests build tacos at a wedding breakfast?

The taco bar can be the wedding breakfast, the evening food or both. We agree the timings with your venue.

What access do you need?

The main things are access and a level spot: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. Send us a picture and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

What if the weather’s bad?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

How it works

Expect a friendly, organised team. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, get the serving area ready, and serve without fuss. In Warmlake, the sun sets at about 9:15pm in late June and about 7:00pm in late September, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is usually served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:50pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Begin with the date and headcount.
  2. We plan fillings and toppings around your guests’ diets.
  3. We fix timings with you and the venue.
  4. The bar opens at the agreed time.
  5. Once service is over, we pack away.

Getting ready for the day

  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
