Your questions about taco bar hire in Lower Horsebridge

Do you come out to small places like Lower Horsebridge?

Yes, we cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

Could you set up a taco bar in a hall near Lower Horsebridge?

Yes, if the venue allows outside caterers. We need a short route from where we park to the room, and space for the station and a queue.

Can you plan for allergies?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, and give allergen information for every dish. We plan carefully and keep options separate, though we cannot promise a dish is allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.

How does a taco bar work?

Guests take a plate and fill their tortillas from the dishes on the bar. We run the bar from set-up to pack-down.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

Yes, with corn tortillas. Corn tortillas are naturally gluten-free, but some fillings, sauces and toppings may not be, so we plan gluten-free dishes carefully and give allergen information.

Is the food suitable for children?

Of course. Mild dishes, quesadillas and nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

Are plates and napkins included?

Please ask us. Let us know what you already have, and we will set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes. Vegetarian and vegan fillings, such as spiced mushrooms or black beans, can be part of the menu.

The process

We need a level, firm spot we can drive the truck or trailer onto, and we agree power and water arrangements before the day. A picture of the space helps. A December taco bar in Lower Horsebridge will be in the dark from about 3:55pm, so an indoor spot or a well-lit station works best. In late June, the light holds until around 9:15pm.

  1. Send us the date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan the fillings, salsas and toppings with you.
  3. We confirm the table spot and where we will unload.
  4. Our staff set out the bar and guests build their own tacos.
  5. We clear the bar away after service.

How to prepare

  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time

Planning a taco bar in Lower Horsebridge

Lower Horsebridge is about 1 mile north-west of Hailsham, in East Sussex. From the centre of Lower Horsebridge to the outskirts, taco bar hire works the same way: fresh service from our truck or trailer, every diet planned for and a clear quote. We cater in all 289 towns and villages in East Sussex, wherever the truck or trailer can get in. We cater right across the region, from Lower Horsebridge to Brighton (about 16 miles away).

Where vehicles cannot reach the room, the station can be set up there with the venue’s agreement, but we still need to unload close by.

How it compares

Next to a hog roast or carvery, a taco bar handles vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests without separate plates. Larger events can cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Why book with us

  • Served fresh from our truck or trailer
  • A menu agreed with you
  • Allergen-aware menus
  • Options for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests

What taco bar hire costs

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • How many guests we are serving
  • Whether you need disposables

There’s no one-size-fits-all price for taco bar hire. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Contact us for a quote.

What to tell us

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • Where the event is
  • Your menu ideas
  • What power and water the site has
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers

Send us the date, your venue or BN27 postcode and guest numbers, plus any dietary needs, and we’ll reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. To get started, send a quick message through our quote form.

Catering for every guest

Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:

  • Include a vegan filling on the bar
  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Fit the bar into your running order
  • Agree the serving spot with your venue early

Staff stay at the taco bar to refill bowls and answer questions about fillings and allergens.

Extra salsas, from mild to hot, let guests choose their own heat.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, with allergen information for every dish.

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.
