Taco bar hire in New Marston, from our truck or trailer

Toppings make the bar: pickled onions, coriander, lime, shredded lettuce and cheese, depending on the menu you choose. On the menu are fresh salsas, a build-your-own taco bar and slow-cooked fillings kept hot, and it suits leaving and retirement parties and milestone birthdays.

A place like New Marston may have a hall or a club nearby if your garden is small; the station needs a level surface, the venue’s permission and somewhere to unload. We arrive ready to serve, and clear our own area when service is finished.

Planning for every diet

A Mexican menu is easy to plan for mixed diets, because guests can choose what suits them. Here are a few tips for planning:

  • Have tables and seats ready for guests to eat at
  • Count children separately
  • Tell us about coeliac guests specifically
  • Put guests with serious allergies in touch with us early

We arrive with time to unload and set the bar up before guests eat.

Our food truck or trailer can serve later in the day, after the taco bar, quoted with the rest.

Is taco bar hire right for your event?

A plated wedding breakfast needs a kitchen, waiting staff and fixed courses. For a taco bar, we need a serving spot, a nearby place to unload and the venue’s permission, and power and water are confirmed with each booking. Larger events can cost less per head, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Why book with us

  • A quote that sets out what’s included
  • Access, space and power checked in advance
  • Served fresh from our food truck or trailer
  • Catering across Oxfordshire, including New Marston

Working with your venue

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We will provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can check the date.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.

How the day works

Once service is over, we pack up and leave our area tidy. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. In New Marston, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Begin with the date and headcount.
  2. We agree a menu that covers every diet.
  3. We fix timings with you and the venue.
  4. The bar opens at the agreed time.
  5. We clear our station when service ends.

Prices and what affects them

These are the factors that matter most:

  • Timings and hours
  • How many guests we are serving
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Food, drinks or both

Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, as there’s no kitchen to hire. Ask us for a quote.

Details that help

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Please include:

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • What power and water the site has
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • Where the event is

Each quote is tailored to your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we’ll check availability at the same time.

Your questions about taco bar hire in New Marston

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Headington Hill Park?

Only with permission from whoever runs the park, often the council. Ask them first, and we will help with the information they need from us.

Which station should guests use for New Marston?

Oxford station, about 1.6 miles south-west of the centre.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. UK law requires caterers to provide information on 14 allergens, and we give it for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

What is a build-your-own taco bar?

Each guest builds tacos from the fillings, salsas and toppings laid out. Our staff look after the bar throughout.

Can you cater for children?

Yes. Mild dishes, quesadillas and nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

What areas do you cover?

London and the South East: Greater London, Kent and Medway, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

Can you cater in a back garden?

Yes, as long as there’s access and a level, firm spot. Send us a picture of the access and the space.

How much space do you need?

The main things are access and a level spot: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. If in doubt, send us a picture of the space and the way in.
