The bar can stand beside our truck or trailer, or on its own. If the truck cannot get to the spot, we park close by, unload and carry the bar in, as long as the venue agrees. For garden parties and barn parties, we will put together a menu of warm corn and flour tortillas, a build-your-own taco bar and guacamole and more.

If the truck cannot get close, we can set the station up nearer your guests, though we still need to unload within a short walk. How to compare caterers

DIY taco night or a caterer?

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

Planning the serving area

No two venues are the same, so we’ll ask about yours before we confirm. Generally, we look for:

  • A spot next to the truck or trailer when both are booked
  • Easy access from where we unload to the table
  • A sheltered spot if we’re serving outside

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before you book.

What we offer

  • Tortilla chips
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Two to four fillings
  • Vegan fillings
  • Salsas and guacamole

Step by step

Service is quick and friendly: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. Afterwards we clear our area. In North Leigh, the sun sets at about 9:30pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Share a few details about the event.
  2. We send a sample spread and a quote.
  3. Access, power and water are agreed beforehand.
  4. We arrive, unload and lay out warm tortillas, fillings and toppings.
  5. At the end, we take everything away.

Preparing for the day

  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
  • Give us your final numbers and diets

Getting a price
