Taco bar hire for Preston events

DIY taco night or a caterer?

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

Taco bar hire in Preston, served fresh

With a taco bar, everything is laid out in one place: tortillas kept warm, fillings kept hot, and bowls of salsa, guacamole and toppings. Each guest takes a plate and fills it their way. At staff parties and garden parties, we’ll put together a menu of pickled onions and toppings, a build-your-own taco bar and guacamole and more.

Around Preston, a taco bar can stand beside our truck on a drive or lawn. If the truck cannot reach the garden, we park as close as we can and set the station up where your guests are, as long as we can unload within a short walk. Everything is prepared fresh for your event and served from our food truck or trailer.

What happens on the day

The truck or trailer needs a level, firm spot with access to drive in, and we agree power and water arrangements before the day. A picture of the space helps. In Preston, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is typically served in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Tell us about your event and your guests.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar menu and a quote.
  3. Access, power and water are agreed beforehand.
  4. We set up the station and keep everything hot.
  5. At the end, we take everything away.

Preparing for the day

  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough

Catering for every guest

We take diets and allergies seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Pick the spot for the taco bar in advance

If speeches or timings run over, we keep the fillings hot and start when you are ready.

Add burrito bowls for guests who’d rather skip tortillas.

Preston: your questions answered

How far is Preston from central London?

About 45 miles from central London.

Do you cater at coastal events near Preston?

Yes, as long as the site allows it and the ground is firm. Seafront and beach spots usually need permission, and wind is the main thing to plan for.

Can you set up where a truck can’t get in?

The taco bar can sit next to the truck or trailer, or in a spot of its own. We need a nearby place to unload, plus the venue’s agreement.

Which areas do you serve?

We cover London and the South East, Brighton and Hove included. See all areas.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, they’re part of the planning from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote.

What about power on site?

That depends on the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Tell us what’s available at your venue.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Even if it is short notice, it is worth asking.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We pack down and leave our area tidy. Let us know the venue’s rules on waste and we will talk it through.

Where the truck can go in Preston

We’ll agree the spot with you before the day. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • A sheltered spot if we are serving outside
  • A spot next to the truck or trailer when both are booked
  • Easy access from where we unload to the table

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think.

Popular choices

  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Tortilla chips
  • Two to four fillings
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Vegan fillings
