Taco bar hire in Richmond upon Thames, served fresh

Truck and trailer bookings normally suit around 50 to 400 guests, while smaller parties are quoted case by case. Share your headcount and we will size the taco bar to match. We serve a build-your-own taco bar, warm corn and flour tortillas and fresh salsas, which works well for working lunches and milestone birthdays.

London gardens are often reached only through the house, and many venues in Richmond upon Thames have no vehicle access to the room. A taco bar station can be set up away from the truck, with the venue’s agreement, and we need a short, clear route from where we unload. Everything is prepared fresh for your event and served from our food truck or trailer.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.

Planning the serving area

Before the day, we will agree where we park and serve. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • A sheltered spot if we are serving outside
  • A parking or loading spot near the serving area
  • A clear route from the vehicle to the serving spot

London streets around Richmond upon Thames can be narrow and busy, and all of Greater London sits inside the ULEZ. Tell us about loading, permits and any parking suspension when you enquire.

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly.

Popular choices

  • Vegan fillings
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Tortilla chips
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Two to four fillings
  • Salsas and guacamole

Richmond upon Thames: your questions answered

Could you serve in Pesthouse Common?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we will send what they need from us.

Could you serve our guests after a service at Holy Trinity Richmond?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

What’s on the menu?

Mexican street food: tacos and build-your-own taco bars, burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas, plus salsas, guacamole and toppings. We also run a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.

Is the food made fresh?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. Tortillas are warmed on site, and salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

How big an event can you cater?

It depends on the menu and how long service runs, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. Tell us your numbers and we’ll advise.

Do you have dairy-free options?

We can. Dairy-free options are part of our menus.

Do you give allergen information?

Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. UK law requires caterers to provide information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.

What do you need at the venue?

A level spot for the serving table, room to queue and somewhere close to unload our vehicle. Power and water are confirmed with each booking.

Our caterer checklist

About the menu

Warm tortillas

Soft corn and flour tortillas, kept warm. Corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests.

Guacamole

Guacamole goes quickly on a taco bar, so we keep it topped up.

Planning for every diet

Nearly every event has some special diets. To cater well for them:

  • Fit the bar into your running order
  • Ask guests with severe allergies to contact us before the day
  • Count children separately
  • Set out seating near the bar

After the last plate, we take the bar down and leave the spot tidy.

For larger groups, ask about a second serving point.

For planners, venues and organisers

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we’ll keep you updated on timings and set-up.
