Taco bar hire near Shootash

About our taco bar hire in Shootash

Our taco bar travels to events across Shootash and the surrounding area: marquees, barns, gardens, halls and workplaces. We serve a build-your-own taco bar, fresh salsas and pickled onions and toppings, and it suits evening wedding receptions and barn parties.

In a hamlet or village like Shootash, a barn or marquee can shelter a taco bar from the weather. We set up the station and our team runs it; tell us about access and parking. Timings are planned around your event, whether that’s speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

Comparing your options

If you want food that feels sociable but still well run, a taco bar suits events well. When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Contact us for a quote and we will set out what’s included.

What you get with us

  • Quick, friendly service from the hatch
  • Book food, drinks or both
  • A truck or trailer that comes to you
  • Quoted for your event

Take a look at how we price or the cost guide.

What affects the price in Shootash

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Whether you need disposables
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • Travel, parking and access
  • How long we’re needed on site

What’s on the menu makes a difference to the total, so tell us what you have in mind. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.

What to tell us

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what’s useful:

  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • How we drive in and where we can park

Every quote is put together for your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we’ll confirm whether we’re available that day.

Organising for someone else?

Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we will keep everyone informed on the day.

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so guests are looked after quickly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

Questions from Shootash

Can the taco bar go in a local hall rather than outside?

We can, as long as the venue agrees. The station needs room for a queue, and we need to park and unload close to the door.

Will you travel to a small place like Shootash?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Who looks after the taco bar?

We run the station ourselves, so your hosts do not need to. When service ends, we clear it away.

Can the taco bar cater for special diets?

Keeping each dish separate makes mixed diets easier, but we cannot promise an allergen-free kitchen. Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, we offer a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we will talk licensing through with you.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes. Vegetarian and vegan fillings, such as spiced mushrooms or black beans, can be part of the menu.

What access do you need?

Access and level ground matter most: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. Send us a picture and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

What do you serve?

Mexican street food: tacos, taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas, plus salsas, guacamole and toppings. We also run a Mexican drinks bar.

How it works

Serving is quick: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. Afterwards we clear our area. In Shootash, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 4:00pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Start with your date, venue and guest numbers.
  2. Together we choose what goes on the bar.
  3. We confirm the table spot and where we’ll unload.
  4. Our staff set out the bar and guests build their own tacos.
  5. When everyone has eaten, we pack up.

How to prepare

  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
  • Share the running order, including any speeches

Hot fillings

You might choose two or three fillings, with at least one vegan. We agree them with you.

Guacamole

No taco bar is complete without guacamole.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

Planning for every diet

Nearly every event has some special diets. To cater well for them:

  • Ask guests with severe allergies to contact us before the day
  • Make sure guests have somewhere to sit
  • Count children separately
  • Check where our vehicle can unload

Staff stay at the taco bar to refill bowls and answer questions about fillings and allergens.
