Taco bar hire in Stowting

Taco bar hire for your event in Stowting

A taco bar puts the whole spread on one table: warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings. Guests pick up a plate and build their own. For birthday celebrations and family celebrations, we can serve slow-cooked fillings kept hot, pickled onions and toppings and burrito bowls.

Somewhere as small as Stowting, a garden, barn or hall can host a taco bar. If the truck cannot get close, we can set the station up nearer your guests, as long as we can unload within a short walk. We cater for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests, with allergen information for everything we serve.

Stowting: your questions answered

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Spong Wood?

Only with permission from whoever runs the park, often the council. Check with them, and we will provide what they ask for from us.

Do you cater at coastal events near Stowting?

We can, given firm ground and the landowner’s permission. Beaches and promenades typically need the council’s agreement, so check that first.

Do you cater in Stowting?

Yes, we do. We serve at events in Stowting and across Kent. Send us your date to check availability.

Can you cater for children?

Of course. Mild dishes, quesadillas and nachos can be part of the menu. Tell us how many children are coming.

What space does a taco bar need?

A level spot for the serving table, room to queue and somewhere close to unload our vehicle. We confirm power and water when you book.

What guest numbers do you cater for?

It depends on the event and the timings. As a guide, our bookings normally fall around 50 to 400 guests.

Is the food very hot?

We can keep it mild, and hotter salsas go on the side for guests who like heat.

How long do you serve for?

It depends on your event. Timings are agreed in advance to suit your day.

Diets, allergies and planning

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Here’s how you can help:

  • Put allergies in writing for us
  • Have tables and seats ready for guests to eat at
  • Flag any guest with coeliac disease
  • Tell us how many children are coming

We get there early enough to unload, lay out the table and heat everything through.

Tell us if you need plates and cutlery and we will set out the options in your quote.

Should I do it myself?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it’s more work than it looks. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Read our guide to taco bars.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

Planners, venues and businesses

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Stowting? Service from a truck or trailer is quick, even for a crowd, and the menu can suit most diets. Give us the details and we’ll suggest a plan.

How it compares

Sandwich platters are convenient but forgettable. A hot taco bar gives guests something to gather round. Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you choose what goes in.

Why book with us

  • Allergen information for everything we serve
  • Access, space and power checked in advance
  • Every guest catered for, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free included
  • A truck or trailer that comes to you

Step by step

We work to your timings. If speeches run late or the photos take longer, tell us and we will adjust the start of service where we can. Around midsummer it stays light in Stowting until about 9:15pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:00pm, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is generally served in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 3:50pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. We plan the fillings and toppings with you and quote for them.
  3. We agree where the table goes and where our vehicle can unload.
  4. On the day our staff lay out the bar and keep it stocked while guests build their tacos.
  5. Once guests have eaten, we take down the bar and leave the spot tidy.

Preparing for the day

  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
