Taco bar hire in The Hale

How our taco bar hire works in The Hale

Our truck and trailer service usually suits around 50 to 400 guests, and smaller parties are quoted case by case. Tell us your numbers and we’ll plan the taco bar around them. At evening wedding receptions and family celebrations, we will put together a menu of burrito bowls, fresh salsas and a build-your-own taco bar and more.

Around The Hale, a taco bar suits venues and gardens that a food truck can’t get into. Our staff set up a serving station on a table, and guests build their own tacos. We still need to park and unload close by, so tell us about loading bays, permits or a parking suspension. All of Greater London is inside the ULEZ. You will know what’s included before you book: the menu, the service time and any extras you choose.

Prices and what affects them

Your quote will be clear. What affects it most:

  • The menu you choose
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • Parking and the route in
  • Whether you need disposables

Your choice of food and drinks affects the price, so share your ideas with us. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

What to tell us

These details help us quote quickly:

  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • The venue or postcode
  • A picture of the space, if it is a garden or field
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, plus any dietary needs, and we will reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. To get started, send a quick message through our quote form.

Where the truck can go in The Hale

Plenty of outdoor spaces and venues work for us, but there are a few things to check:

  • A spot next to the truck or trailer when both are booked
  • A short, clear path for carrying the bar in
  • The venue’s agreement for the taco bar and our vehicle

As a London location, The Hale is inside the ULEZ, and parking and loading take planning: let us know about permits, bays, off-street space or a parking suspension.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.

Questions from The Hale

Can you set up a taco bar where your truck can’t park in The Hale?

Usually, if the venue agrees to a staffed station. We still need to park and unload nearby, so tell us about loading bays, permits or a parking suspension.

Is it possible to have you in Stoneyfields Park?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we will send what they need from us.

How soon do we need to book?

As soon as you have a date. Peak dates go quickly, so get in touch early.

Is a taco bar suitable for a big group?

It depends on the event and the timings. As a guide, our bookings typically fall around 50 to 400 guests.

Is the food suitable for children?

Of course. We can keep dishes mild, and simple options such as quesadillas or nachos can be part of the menu. Tell us how many children are coming.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

Yes, with corn tortillas. Corn is naturally gluten-free, though some sauces and toppings can contain gluten, so we check every dish and give allergen information.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, and give allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we cannot promise anything is completely allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.

Do you have dairy-free options?

Yes. Dairy-free options are part of our menus.

How the day works

We need a level, firm spot we can drive the truck or trailer onto, and we agree power and water arrangements before the day. Send us a picture of the space if you’re unsure. A December taco bar in The Hale will be in the dark from about 3:55pm, so an indoor spot or a well-lit station works best. At midsummer, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:20pm.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. We plan the fillings and toppings with you and quote for them.
  3. Before the day, we confirm the serving spot, unloading, power and water with the venue.
  4. Our staff set up the station, keep the fillings hot and top up the bar through service.
  5. When service finishes, we clear the table and pack the vehicle.

Before we arrive

  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
  • Tell us when you want service to start
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready

Planning help

Is taco bar hire right for your event?

A taco bar and a truck serve the same food in different ways. At the hatch, we make each order; at the bar, guests build their own. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. Even a simple menu can feel generous.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Organising for someone else?

Organising a club, school or community event in The Hale? A truck or trailer serves a crowd quickly, with options for most diets. Give us the details and we’ll suggest a plan.

Events in public spaces, like parks, normally need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.
