Taco bar hire in Tickleback Row, from our food truck or trailer

The bar can stand beside our truck or trailer, or on its own. If the truck cannot get to the spot, we park close by, unload and carry the bar in, with the venue’s agreement. For family get-togethers and engagement and anniversary parties, we can serve guacamole, burrito bowls and pickled onions and toppings for your guests.

Somewhere as small as Tickleback Row, a garden, barn or hall can host a taco bar. If the truck cannot get close, we can set the station up nearer your guests, as long as we can unload within a short walk. Guests are served from our truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan the service around your numbers.

Prices and what affects them

These are the factors that matter most:

  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Serving staff
  • The length of service
  • The menu you choose

A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What we need to know

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what to include:

  • The venue or postcode
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Your menu ideas

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: venue, timings, menu ideas and access. When you are ready, use our quote form.

What happens on the day

When we arrive, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. We’re ready to serve at the agreed time, planned around your event. Evenings in Tickleback Row stay light until about 9:25pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm. Once it gets dark, guests need to see what they’re adding to their tacos.

  1. Tell us about your event and your guests.
  2. We send a sample spread and a quote.
  3. We check power, water and access with your venue.
  4. We arrive, unload and lay out warm tortillas, fillings and toppings.
  5. Afterwards, we pack down and leave the area tidy.

Space, access and the venue

Plenty of outdoor spaces and venues work for us, but there are a few things to check:

  • The venue’s or landowner’s agreement
  • A clear area in front of the station
  • A flat spot for the taco-bar station

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Popular choices

  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Vegan fillings
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Tortilla chips
  • Two to four fillings

Tickleback Row: your questions answered

We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Michael and All Angels: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Send us the reception address.

Is Tickleback Row close to London?

It’s about 29 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

How does taco bar hire work?

We set out warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings on a serving table, and each guest builds their own. We stay to keep everything hot and stocked.

Is the food very hot?

We can keep it mild, with hotter salsas on the side for anyone who wants more heat.

How do you handle dietary needs at the taco bar?

There are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free choices, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests. Every dish has allergen information.

Do you give allergen information?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, with allergen information for every dish. We plan carefully and keep options separate, though we cannot promise a dish is allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.

Which areas do you serve?

London and the South East: Greater London, Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire, including Tickleback Row.

Do you cover Tickleback Row?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, and Tickleback Row is within our area and the rest of Bracknell Forest. To check your date, send a quick message through our quote form.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

Perfect for your event in Tickleback Row

The bar can go where a vehicle cannot, such as a courtyard, a barn or a hall, with the venue’s agreement.

Close to Tickleback Row are historic houses such as St Leonard's Hill (4.7 miles east). Estates and listed houses set their own rules for caterers, so check where a taco bar station and our vehicle would be permitted before booking.
