How we price taco bar hire

We will give you a clear quote. The main things that affect it are:

  • The length of service
  • Guest numbers
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • How many staff you need

The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.

Getting an accurate quote

For a quote, it helps to have:

  • Expected numbers
  • Your menu ideas
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • The date and rough timings

We need only a few details to quote: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. To send them, use our quote form.

Taco bar hire in Titchfield, from our food truck or trailer

With a taco bar, everything is laid out in one place: warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings. Each guest takes a plate and fills it their way. It suits engagement parties and wedding evening food, serving burrito bowls, guacamole and slow-cooked fillings kept hot.

Near Titchfield, a marquee or barn makes a good home for a taco bar. Our staff set up the station and run it through service; tell us about access and parking. Everything is prepared fresh for your event and served from our food truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

  • Easy access from where we unload to the table
  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
  • A spot next to the truck or trailer when both are booked

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise.

  • Two to four fillings
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Tortilla chips
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Vegan fillings

How it works

It’s a relaxed, well-organised set-up. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, get the serving area ready, and get on with serving. Around midsummer it stays light in Titchfield until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:10pm, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 4:00pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar spread and a quote.
  3. Together we fix the spot for the taco bar and a nearby place for our vehicle.
  4. Our staff set up the station, keep the fillings hot and top up the bar through service.
  5. Once guests have eaten, we take down the bar and leave the spot tidy.

For event organisers in Titchfield

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Titchfield? Service from a truck or trailer is quick, even for a crowd, and the menu can suit most diets. Tell us about the event and we’ll suggest a menu.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

Titchfield questions

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Peter?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Could you come to a seaside event near Titchfield?

We can, given firm ground and the landowner’s permission. Beaches and promenades normally need the council’s agreement, so check that first.

How do you handle dietary needs at the taco bar?

Fillings and toppings sit in separate dishes, which helps with mixed diets, though we can’t guarantee there are no traces of any allergen. Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

What do you need at the venue?

Tell us about the venue and the spot you have in mind, and we will confirm what’s needed. The venue’s agreement is needed too.

How is the food prepared?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. The tortillas are warmed on site, and the salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Can you plan for allergies?

Yes, and it helps to hear about allergies when you book. UK law requires caterers to provide information on 14 allergens, and we give it for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

Please ask us. Tell us what your venue provides, and we will confirm what’s included with your quote.

How much space do you need?

The main things are access and a level spot: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. Send us a picture and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

Dietary needs and planning tips

With a little notice, most diets are easy. Our advice:

  • Have tables and seats ready for guests to eat at
  • Plan the taco bar around speeches and timings
  • Count children separately
  • Decide where the table goes before the day

A covered spot keeps the bar and guests dry if it rains.

Our drinks bar can sit alongside the taco bar with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.

Who books taco bar hire in Titchfield?

It looks generous: salsas, guacamole and toppings laid out together make an easy centrepiece.

Here are some of the events we cater:

  • Barn parties
  • Office lunches
  • Evening wedding receptions
  • Wedding day food

Guests leaving a church like Church of St Peter could head to a nearby hall or garden where the taco bar is ready.

Guests arriving without a car will want to know that the nearest station is Fareham station, about 2 miles east. The coast is within about 4 miles of Titchfield, so for a seaside taco bar we plan around the wind. A sheltered spot for the station helps, and seafront sites generally need permission.

Should I do it myself?

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.
