Taco bar hire near Way

How our taco bar hire works in Way

Fillings are agreed with you, perhaps carnitas, chicken tinga or birria, plus a vegan choice such as spiced mushroom or black bean and sweet potato. It works well for leaving dos and milestone birthdays, serving a build-your-own taco bar, fresh salsas and burrito bowls.

Somewhere as small as Way, a garden, barn or hall can host a taco bar. If the truck cannot get close, we can set the station up nearer your guests, as long as we can unload within a short walk. We prepare everything fresh for your event and serve it straight from our food truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

For event organisers in Way

Events in public spaces, like parks, generally need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we will talk you through the process. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

Where the truck can go in Way

We serve from a truck or trailer, so where we park matters. These are the things we check:

  • A spot next to the truck or trailer when both are booked
  • Power and water, which we confirm when you book
  • Space for a serving table on level ground

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before booking.

Planning a taco bar in Way

Way is about 3 miles west of Ramsgate, in Kent. Wherever your event is in the CT12 area, we can bring the truck or trailer to you, as long as there’s access. We serve in 922 places in Kent, from the larger towns to small villages, wherever the truck or trailer can get in. Our nearest city page is Canterbury, about 12 miles away.

Around Way, historic houses include Quex Park (2 miles north). If your event is at a historic house or estate, ask early whether a staffed taco bar is allowed and where we could unload. Guests leaving a church like Church of Saint Mary the Virgin could head to a nearby hall or garden where the taco bar is ready. With the sea within about 4 miles, a taco bar at a coastal venue is an option. Open toppings and a sea breeze don’t mix, so a sheltered or indoor spot is best.

This part of Kent takes in CT12, and we can cater your event anywhere in it with access for the truck or trailer. We can cater an event on streets such as Wayborough Hill and Way Hill. Close by, we cover events in Mount Pleasant (1 mile north-west), Sevenscore (1 mile south-east), Minster (1 mile west), Acol (1 mile north-west) and Cliffs End (2 miles south-east). Further out, we also cater in Canterbury (12 miles west), Margate (4 miles north-east), Dover (14 miles south), Ramsgate (3 miles east), Broadstairs (5 miles east) and Whitstable (13 miles west).

A little further out are Westwood Cross (3.1 miles north-east) and Ramsgate General Hospital (3.5 miles east). Green spaces nearby include Sandwich and Pegwell Bay.

Whatever the occasion, the serving truck can be a highlight. We are happy to cater:

  • Leaving dos
  • Engagement parties
  • Family celebrations
  • Wedding breakfasts

By rail: Minster station is about 0.9 miles away.

Comparing caterers

  • How many staff are serving, and for how long
  • Exactly what’s included in the price
  • Who provides plates and napkins
  • When payment is due

How to compare caterers

Is taco bar hire right for your event?

A plated wedding breakfast needs a kitchen, waiting staff and fixed courses. A taco bar needs a serving spot, somewhere close to unload and the venue’s agreement, with power and water confirmed when you book. Got a budget? Let us know, and we will suggest a menu to match. A simple menu can still feel generous.

Why us?

  • Allergen information for everything we serve
  • Served fresh from our truck or trailer
  • Service planned around your numbers
  • Set-up planned with you and your venue

The process

Serving is quick: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. When service ends, we pack down. Evenings in Way stay light until about 9:15pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:00pm. Once it gets dark, guests need to see what they’re adding to their tacos.

  1. Send us your date, where the taco bar will go, numbers and dietary needs.
  2. We plan the fillings and toppings with you and quote for them.
  3. We agree where the table goes and where our vehicle can unload.
  4. On the day our staff lay out the bar and keep it stocked while guests build their tacos.
  5. When service finishes, we clear the table and pack the vehicle.

Getting ready for the day

  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough

Popular choices

Guacamole

Guacamole made fresh, with lime and coriander.

Toppings

The toppings are where guests make each taco their own, and dairy-free choices are kept apart.

Can I do a taco night myself?

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: see how many tacos per person. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

FAQs for Way

Is it possible to have you in Sandwich and Pegwell Bay?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we will send what they need from us.

Do you cater at coastal events near Way?

We can, given firm ground and the landowner’s permission. Beaches and promenades typically need the council’s agreement, so check that first.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

Truck and trailer service generally suits around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Tell us your numbers.

When should we book?

As soon as you have a date. Popular dates go first, so it pays to ask early.

Can we have a build-your-own taco bar?

We can. A build-your-own taco bar can be served from the truck or a serving station, with fillings, salsas and toppings to choose from.

Do you come to Way?

Yes, we do. We serve at events in Way and across Kent. Tell us your date and we will check availability.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, and give allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we can’t promise anything is completely allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

Who clears up?

We pack down and tidy our own area after service. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

Dietary needs and planning tips

We cater for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests. To get it right:

  • Tell us when guests should eat
  • Include a vegan filling on the bar
  • Put allergies in writing for us
  • Agree the serving spot with your venue early

Staff stay at the taco bar to refill bowls and answer questions about fillings and allergens.

Add burrito bowls for guests who’d rather skip tortillas.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
