How our taco bar hire works in Weyhill

We bring taco bars to events in and around Weyhill: from barns and marquees to gardens, halls and offices. Popular choices include a build-your-own taco bar, pickled onions and toppings and warm corn and flour tortillas, and it’s a good fit for wedding meals and evening wedding receptions.

For a rural spot like Weyhill, a taco bar beside the truck in a field or garden is a simple set-up. Tell us about gates, ground and the distance from the lane, and we’ll confirm power and water with you. Guests are served from our truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

Should I do it myself?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

Weyhill: venues, access and set-up

Weyhill is about 3 miles west of Andover, in Hampshire. We cater events at homes, gardens and venues in Weyhill and nearby villages. We serve in all 683 towns and villages in Hampshire. Our truck and trailer cover the area from Weyhill to Winchester (15 miles away).

After a christening or wedding at a church such as Church of St Michael and All Angels, a taco bar at a hall or garden nearby lets guests build their own tacos.

For taco bar hire in SP11, we plan around your venue and the route in. From Michaelmas Drove, Ordnance Lane and Amesbury Road or a nearby road, we can bring taco bar hire there, given access. Your questions about taco bar hire in Weyhill

Do you cater in villages like Weyhill?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Michael and All Angels?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we do. Our drinks bar can be booked on its own or with food, with alcohol-free options such as aguas frescas. For alcohol, we’ll check the licensing with you and your venue.

Is the food suitable for children?

Yes, children are easy to plan for. Let us know numbers and ages, and we’ll suggest mild options.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

Ask us when you enquire. Tell us what your venue provides, and we will set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

What happens if it rains?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. It’s worth planning a covered area for guests, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

How much space do you need?

Access and level ground matter most: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. Send us a picture and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

What does a taco bar cost?

We quote for each taco bar, depending on guests, menu, venue and timings. Contact us for a quote.

Diets, allergies and planning

Mixed diets are straightforward to plan for, because guests can choose what suits them. Here are a few tips for planning:

  • Include a dietary question on your invitations
  • Decide where the table goes before the day
  • Plan the taco bar around speeches and timings
  • Check where our vehicle can unload

We arrive with time to unload and set the bar up before guests eat.

Tell us if you need plates and cutlery and we will confirm what’s possible in your quote.

Planning the serving area

If a space isn’t suitable, we’ll tell you, and help find another spot. What matters most:

  • Room for guests to queue along the table
  • A clear route from the vehicle to the serving spot
  • A level area for the taco-bar table

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before booking.

What we offer

  • Vegan fillings
  • Tortilla chips
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Two to four fillings
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Salsas and guacamole

How the day works

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we’ll help you choose a spot with room for a queue. Rain does not usually stop us serving, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit. In Weyhill, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 4:00pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Start with your date, venue and guest numbers.
  2. We plan the fillings, salsas and toppings with you.
  3. We confirm the table spot and where we’ll unload.
  4. Our staff set out the bar and guests build their own tacos.
  5. We clear the bar away after service.

How to prepare

  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer

Taco bar hire or something else?

Pizza is a safe choice, but a taco bar lets every guest design their own plate. There’s no one-size-fits-all price for taco bar hire. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.
